You might look like you're managing just fine on the outside, but inside, it’s a different story—waves of anxiety, a heaviness you can’t explain, or an edge of irritability that keeps catching you off guard. Maybe you’ve been feeling disconnected from yourself or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, I help clients untangle the emotional knots that keep them from feeling fully present and alive.

When life feels overwhelming or relationships begin to feel strained, it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. You might find yourself caught in cycles of self-doubt, irritability, or withdrawal—struggling to manage the emotional weight of depression, anxiety, or past trauma. With over three decades of experience and a background in child psychology, I draw from my MA from Western Carolina University and a MYSPY from Oklahoma State to support teens and adults navigating these difficult patterns.

One important reminder (especially now), is that "although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." We are all continually moving through different spaces trying to be understood and find balance, while living in a world with rapid changes and instability. Adjusting can be especially difficult if who you are is not embraced, is met with criticism, or is lacking recognition. I am looking for clients that want to begin or continue self-discovery, that come with curiosity and openness, and hope to offer that on my end as well. I try to provide an in-person, encouraging, and affirming space for people.

I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor in San Diego, CA. My online practice is dedicated to helping individual adult clients face, process, grieve, and recover from significant emotional childhood trauma that has kept you from being your authentic self and living your best life. Childhood trauma can freeze psychosocial development; saddle people with the mistaken beliefs they are inadequate, worthless or unlovable and thus constantly vulnerable to rejection or abandonment. Together we will rebuild your self-confidence and optimism along with your ability to enjoy relationships, work, and whatever your creative passions are.

It can be overwhelming to handle everything on your own. This can lead to feeling things such as anxiousness, frustration, or depression. It may not always be easy to seek help, and it's normal to feel uncomfortable with that. I strive to create a welcoming space where my clients and I can work together to create a plan to overcome these obstacles. I believe therapy is a collaborative environment, while the therapist's role is to serve as a guide. Being open to exploring the challenges you are facing can help me to guide you to finding what are the root causes, as well as provide you with tools to help you manage difficulties.

As someone who understand the hardships of life, I aim to cultivate a space where my clients feel safe to express themselves without fear of judgment. Through introspective conversations, I guide a deep reflection on past experiences that influence the present and move them towards growth and transformation. At the same time, I use humor thoughtfully, helping to ease tension, build connection, and offer a fresh perspective on challenges. My approach balances warmth, depth, and lightness, making the journey toward change both meaningful and engaging.
