You are not broken. You are becoming.
The past shapes how we love, grieve, and understand ourselves. If you’ve ever felt caught between expectations, navigating belonging, or carrying unspoken emotions, you are not alone.
As a second-generation Asian American, I know our stories are layered—woven with resilience, love, and sacrifice. Culture and family can be sources of strength, yet they may also shape how we connect, protect, and express ourselves. Healing isn’t about letting go of where you come from; it’s about honoring your experiences, understanding their impact, and allowing yourself to grow into who you truly are.

Even the best days of our lives come with unexpected changes, challenges or realizations that events or traumas from our past have come to prevent us from truly feeling like we are living the life we have really envisioned for ourselves. Sometimes even with the support of those closest to us, we can't seem to find a way to face these issues on our own so we make a decision to seek out another source of support through therapy. If you're looking to start your therapy journey for the first time or continuing it from where you left off previously - I hope to be able to help support you as you embark on this journey towards your goals.

As a queer, Filipino immigrant, l understand how our social identities impact our mental health.
Together we will grow your understanding of who you are and what's important to you as a great first step towards change. We will take our time to reflect on your experiences with self-worth, overthinking, and/or grief to reveal helpful elements that may have gone unnoticed in your story so far -qualities and strengths you can apply in order to take those next steps. By collaborating on solutions together, we will arrive with a clearer sense of what you need to have a richer connection with the people, values, strengths, cultures, relationships, and communities that are important to you and the life you want to live.

As a second-generation Filipino American therapist, I understand the tension between honoring family and finding your own voice.
Do you ever feel like you’re moving through life on autopilot? Getting things done, being there for others, yet carrying a sense of emptiness, restlessness, or invisibility inside? Many of my clients relate to the experience that they’ve spent years holding everything together, often putting their own needs aside. With time, this can create burnout, emotional distance, and a quiet uncertainty about who you are and what truly matters to you. In therapy, we make room to slow down, notice, and reconnect. Our work isn’t about “fixing” you, but about exploring the deeper threads of your experience.

We all have a story to tell. What does your story mean? How is your story relevant to where you find yourself today? What are you telling yourself about your story (for many, this sounds like, "It was all my fault. I am a failure. There is no hope"). Answering questions on your own can be scary and confusing; the answers can cause painful emotions. My hope for you: perhaps by sharing your story with me, with a gentle and firm approach I have learned from over 20 yrs. of work in this field, your story will begin to change; you will find new meaning to your story; you will create the rest of your story.

You’ve gone through pregnancy and the moment to meet your first newborn baby has arrived. As a new mom, thoughts run in your head like, “how do I take care of this baby when I can’t take care of myself,” “my body feels broken,” “I haven’t slept,” “this is how it is, so I just have to figure it out.” You feel overwhelmed and question if you’re a good mother when you go back to work. At the end of the day, you just want to feel supported and know that you’re still you as you experience being a mom. You decide what works for you and your family and not to live based on “you should do this or you’re supposed to do this.”

I'm passionate about creating spaces where people feel truly heard, seen, and valued, empowering them to embrace their authentic selves and live a life that aligns with who they really are. When we stray from our authentic selves, whether by compromising our values, holding onto unhealthy patterns, or trying to fit into molds that don’t serve us, it takes a toll. Our relationships become strained, our self-worth and confidence waver, and we may find ourselves battling anxiety, depression, or inner conflict. Everyone deserves a life of peace, connection, and self-acceptance. That’s why finding the right therapist is so important.

My priority first and foremost is to build trust in the client-therapist relationship. It can be challenging to share painful thoughts and emotions with others, so I believe it is a privilege whenever I am allowed into someone’s internal world. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy, working with clients to address life transitions, family or relationship issues, overwhelming emotions, and self-harm. Having worked extensively with ethnically- and gender- diverse populations, I especially enjoy helping young adults explore their sense of identity and find meaningful roles in their communities.

I believe our lived experiences and hopes for the future provide us with insights to help understand our pain, joy, struggles, triumphs, and deepest questions. The late poet and essayist Audre Lorde reminds us that "our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge." Using an intersectional, decolonial, and trauma-informed framework, I embark on a collaborative journey with clients who want to reflect on their experiences, and process symptoms, survival responses, and underlying beliefs related to grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
