Finding a therapist can be overwhelming- especially when you need one. I get it. I've been there. But you're on the right track. To get you started, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation, so feel free to reach out. Even if we aren't the right fit, I'll refer you to someone who might be. I pride myself on offering compassionate, open-minded therapy tailored to your needs. I'm not your mother's therapist: shame, guilt and stigma have no room in my practice. My focus is your growth and well-being.

I provide tele therapy for individuals, and couples for CA residents. I do not have a physical office in CA. I also offer treatment for trauma.
In today's world we are all finding that after working full time there isn't enough time to eat right, exercise, take care of errands, help the children with homework, and spend quality time with your significant relationships. What we end up with is exhaustion, feeling "burned out", anxious, and maybe even depressed. You are not alone.
Don't suffer any longer. It's time to address your issues and get your life back.

Do you feel like you've lost Hope?! Do you often feel like what's the point? Do you feel like you are just surviving? Hope! Hope; noun; 1 - A feeling or expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. 2 - A feeling of trust. Hope; Verb; Example: - I Hope therapy helps me and I Hope I learn the skills I need to move through this experience. I truly believe as a therapist that hope is the catalyst for change. Hope propels us to keep trying. When we feel stuck due to trauma holding us back, our thought distortions, or our self-sabotaging, HOPE still is present and propelling us to move forward. Step by Step.

Welcome! I am so glad you are here and ready to take the next step towards finding support! I specialize in working with non-monogamy, polyamory, and kink/BDSM communities, racial trauma and adult children of immigrants. As a child of Arab immigrants and member of the polyamorous community myself, I love helping clients to rewrite their personal narratives and recognize the influence they have over their lives. Additionally, I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD and other neurotypes) from an affirming lens.

Are you looking for a therapist who can hold space for all of your unique identities, culture and relationship dynamics? I specialize in working with couples who want to understand each other better, but are struggling to find common ground. I work with couples who are from different cultures, backgrounds, are different races, or have different neurotypes (one partner who has ADHD or Autism and the other who does not). My lived experience with neurodiversity and being bi-cultural help me to assist couples in finding more connection and understanding for one another.

Courage, dear heart, as life will present you with surprises and in time, you will manage each one with bravery. Our families can push our boundaries; our relationships can challenge us; and our careers can stretch us so thin. Negative self-thoughts can keep us in our heads and repeating old patterns can feel like a roller coaster of emotions. Past traumas can intrude our present; social injustices can break our community down; and gender and cultural inequalities can be an exhausting battle. Our self-care can plummet and suddenly we are not our first priority. However, you are leaning in today and making an investment in YOU!

I am passionate about supporting women and teens facing the challenges of life in a way that helps them find sustained change. It is hard to live in this world and not question if our bodies, stories, and voices are “good enough.” We wonder if it is possible for us to be okay with who we are, and make different choices than we’ve made in the past. We often make decisions that are rooted in insecurity, leaving us trapped in anxiety. I value helping women learn to understand and respect their whole story on their own terms. Together we can define your own goals for change.

I whole-heartedly believe in the beauty of each person's unique perspective, and at the same time, gently encourage clients to be mindful of the universal human experiences of love and loss. Thus, providing comfort while helping clients explore issues that are difficult or painful. Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
