I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in working with trauma and the anxiety and depression that often accompanies it, using mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, BrainSpotting, and EMDR.
My approach is to help you slow down in order to get in touch with your inner voice and assist you in processing and releasing painful or traumatic experiences. This process establishes a more grounded approach to living in the present moment and frequently reduces anxiety and depressive symptoms.

Couples counseling could be the best gift you give to yourself and your partner. Did you know that couples wait on average 7 years being unhappy before they finally seek counseling? Are you ready to try something new? Now is a great time to do away with habits that interfere with you having a great relationship, and learn some new ways of connecting with your partner! I love helping couples build a strong foundation for a healthy, lasting relationship.

I use body-based trauma therapies that work faster than traditional talk therapy: EMDR, Brainspotting, ART, and somatic approaches.
You love your adopted child fiercely, but some days you don't feel it. Your body goes into fight-or-flight during their meltdowns. You're walking on eggshells, waiting for the next crisis. The exhaustion of carrying both your child's trauma and now your own is bone-deep. You cry in your car after drop-off. You lie awake at 3am. Your shoulders stay locked, jaw clenched, stomach churning. Maybe you adopted after infertility, hoping it would heal that wound. Or you're grieving a failed adoption. You worry that you're failing your child, that other adoptive parents handle this better, that struggling means you shouldn't have adopted.

My process is trauma informed, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting.
Most people I know are doing the best they can with what they know, yet keep finding themselves stuck repeating old patterns. Some people want to heal old wounds but don't know how, and they often feel unsatisfied with their relationships, their job or feel alone. We might be a good fit if you want to feel more connected to yourself and your emotions. My joy comes from helping others discover self compassion, peace with the past, self awareness, support, and connection. I help people craft lives and relationships they’re excited to show up for.

Brainspotting.
We believe in the therapeutic process deeply and the power of growth and change. The first challenge is often alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, life and work stress, relational problems, grief problems, and sometimes managing traumatic experiences. For those who seek further growth after the immediate pain is resolved, the clinician may help you identify and address repetitive patterns that get in the way of you living your fullest life.

I use EMDR, parts work, Brainspotting, and somatic approaches, rooted in attachment and nervous system regulation.
Everyone has the capacity to grow, shift, and change and I believe deeply in connection. I know firsthand that life is messy and tricky, that none of us get it right all the time, and that healing happens in relationship—whether it’s with your therapist, your partner, your children, or the parts of yourself that have been carrying pain for a long time. Sometimes we find ourselves repeating patterns that don’t make sense or feeling stuck in ways we can’t explain—and therapy can be the place where those pieces finally start to come together.

My work is relational, depth oriented, and attachment-based, I integrate Brainspotting when it's a fit to help clients move through patterns that feel stuck.
You’re the one people rely on—capable, responsible, the “strong one.” You handle it, organize it, push through it… and rarely let anyone see how heavy it feels. Over time, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship patterns, or body image/disordered eating can become where the pressure shows up. I work with high-functioning adults who look fine on the outside but feel tense, self-critical, or emotionally alone on the inside. Often the problem isn’t that you’re not coping—it’s that you’ve been coping by over-functioning for a long time.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
