I don’t know why I do it… I just seems instinctual, automatic, or just “who I am”. It happens before I can even think of a different way to do things. Even if I know logically that it is not helpful behavior, I can’t seem to stop myself.
Does this sound like you or a loved one? Some of our behaviors are unconscious and are triggered by either internal or external factors or both. These responses or behaviors can become compulsive and destructive to ourselves, our relationships, and our lives. I work with individuals, couples and families who are struggling with these symptoms or are affected by these symptoms in their loved ones.

The people I work with often are feeling stuck, overwhelmed and unsure of the next move. They have spent many years of their lives trying to perform, perfect and please. They are exhausted because this no longer works and they are ready to explore who they are and how they want to move through the world differently. Together, we use self compassion, mindfulness, EMDR and EMDR Intensives to get unstuck and start living their lives.

It is such a joy of mine to walk alongside others and partner with them as they take a deep dive into pursuing healing and wholeness. I hate how shame can often be a reason we stay isolated in silence. This is why I strive to create a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe environment. It is my goal to help provide insight, hope, and healing for whatever challenges and burdens my clients are carrying. It truly is an honor to be allowed to enter my clients' world, and because of this, I will always engage with them in the most empathetic way.
