I am 'late-bloomer," and now an "old woman" who senses and feels your pain, hurt, struggles, and burdens.
My clients are anxious, depressed, people-pleasing, angry, or have had small or big traumas. Life has a way of dishing these out. If any of these sounds like you, then come for one session, and see if you would like to stick around for more. I use Eclectic (means the approach best for you) and Holistic (the entirety of you) approaches to assist you in getting back to where you would like to be, as quickly as possible. Life is too short to take too long to heal, to reduce symptoms, to learn new ways to live life. I use EMDR as a way to help unstick the things that stuck in you, and seem to hold you back. Ready, set, go....

I love working with individuals who want to regain control of their lives, women who need to find their identity outside of work, mom or wife, and with couples who want to strengthen their relationship.
Learning to be transparent and vulnerable is difficult but not impossible. These skills take time and are based on trust. As a therapist I would love to be a person who you can trust because I DO care. I want to understand you better and work alongside of you to help you become the best possible version of yourself. I love working with individuals who often lose a sense of self because of putting others before them such as their spouse or children. It can be the hardest question to answer when someone asks you, what do YOU want? My goal to help you live as the BEST version of yourself is to start with caring for YOU first.

At my core I aim to serve individuals and families, however, being a mother myself I am dedicated to serving the women either transitioning into motherhood or the seasoned mommas who need some extra help.
My passion for helping others developed from recognizing the lack of resources in my own community and the stigma around mental health that plagues the Latnix community. Being a first-generation child of immigrant parents, I noticed the isolating pressures of navigating two worlds, often led to undiagnosed and untreated mental health problems.

The clients I primarily see are female clients who are moms and are going through a life transition.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, alone, and like you are having a hard time with everything going on in your life then you are in the right place. I get it. My name is Catherine Moore, I work with people like you, who are going through life changes, who need someone to talk too, who need stronger coping skills, and who need to press pause sometimes. I approach therapy by getting to know who you are now, where your thoughts and behaviors come from, exploring how the different factors in your life impact you, and teach you coping skills to move forward. I'd be honored to work with you.

I earned my master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and my passion lies in helping women through transitional periods and supporting adolescent mental health.
My clinical approach to therapy is rooted in a psychodynamic framework, emphasizing the importance of understanding where we come from to make sense of our current behaviors, relationships, and emotional patterns. By exploring past experiences and unconscious influences, we can gain deeper insight into the underlying factors that shape thoughts and actions.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
