I am an LMFT with over 20 years of experience with certification in crisis intervention, CBT, DBT, and healing from trauma.
Are there certain aspects of your life that you are dissatisfied with?  Are there struggles within that leave you drained?  Anxiety, depression, work distress, relationship and family conflict, trauma, grief and loss are all a part of being human.  In therapy, I offer support, tools, help with emotional regulation, reframing your false self beliefs and healing your inner child.  From the school sandbox, to the hospital, to the privacy of a quiet office, I will meet you where you are at without judgement.

I've been working in the MH field for approximately 10 years with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, addiction, identity issues, low self-esteem, relationship issues, with life transitions and other areas.
Hola, It is very normal to feel fear and anxiety when seeking help, but if you take the next step we can work collaboratively to help promote growth and healing moving forward. I utilize a strength based approach and a solution focused model to help strengthen the skills you already have while developing more effective tools to manage current stressors. Throughout my career, I have learned the importance of self-determination, meeting clients where they are and providing a safe space to process emotions and unresolved issues.

I have experienced depression, trauma, grief and breast cancer.
Are you feeling stressed out, depressed or anxious? If you answered yes, you aren't alone. Studies have found there has been an increase in anxiety and depression. I have created a safe and empathetic environment where you can learn some new coping strategies, and how to let go of unhealthy relationship patterns. Research has found the longer trauma, depression and anxiety go untreated the worse it will get. I practice from the heart and with empathy. You can learn to put yourself first. I don't mean this in a selfish way. You can create balance in your life and have healthy relationships. You can also learn healthy self-care.

I have many years of experience working with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, PTSD and/or trauma-related symptoms.
“Therapy, yeah that’s not for me”, may have been a thought that has crossed your mind once, twice or many times. So look at this as a huge step in the right direction for you, as you look at profiles and possibly make a decision to invest in yourself. I've been in your shoes and looking for a therapist can be scary and intimidating. Your story is for you to share when you’re ready and with someone that you trust . You may be at a point in your journey in which you are experiencing difficult and unexpected feelings and emotions that you are trying to make sense of or find answers to. That is where I hope to help you.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years of experience. I see children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy who are struggling with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, life cycle challenges, trauma/abuse and many more. People cope with and try to manage their past and present to the best of their ability. However, at times it can be overwhelming and may also create additional barriers as people often outgrow their coping skills, or their skills and tools are simply no longer working for them.

I work with individuals and families who seek an ally to assist them in solving a personal or family problem, overcome obstacles to achieving a more meaningful life, or are troubled by anxiety, depression, anger, grief, discontent or trauma.
Psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity to examine issues that impact our quality of life, as well as a powerful tool to promote true healing and lasting change. I work together with Individuals and families to help bring awareness and healing to the source of their emotional stress and pain, to hopefully enable them to live their lives more fully and contently. I have over 16 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families in various practice settings, including private practice, schools, and public service agencies.

Hi there, I help women in their 20s and 30s with anxiety and trauma. You may be feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.  Anxiety is starting to take over and it is getting hard to control.  Your heart rate may sometimes increase, thoughts start to race, and it may feel like you just can’t catch your breath.  It feels like little to no people in your life really understand. You are ready to invest in your emotional well-being in therapy.

There are times in life when our paths lead us off course and we find ourselves struggling with serious issues like negativity, depression, worry, anxiety, interpersonal relational issues, difficulty with co-workers or unfulfilling marriages. Some of us struggle with unresolved trauma from our past, leaving us feeling distant, disconnected and alone. No matter how difficult your current situation seems, I believe that it is always possible to get back on track and feel better. In my years specializing in domestic violence, eating disorders and trauma related therapy, I have helped individuals, couples and families overcome multiple obstacles.

While talk therapy methods are a beginning point of the therapeutic practice, I incorporate mindful awareness, visualization, somatic exercises, story and collage art, and Jungian sand tray therapies to heal anxiety, trauma, and depression.
I am the founder of Wellspring Psychological Services and supervising psychologist for this group private practice. I specialize in creating mind and body wholeness, helping to bring balance back into life. I have a passion for working with teens and young adults, particularly because the challenges of adolescence require a unique and strong client/therapist personality fit. Students in residency and couples in transition can take advantage of my 15 years of clinical expertise. My mission is to create a therapeutic space where each person is able to fully show up and create a more contented and peaceful life.

I have years of experience working with individuals (adults, children and adolescents), couples and families confronted with a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, suicidality, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, relationship difficulties, divorce, and life transitions.
Sometimes the challenges we face in life can feel overwhelming and impossible to overcome, and it is my belief that through authentic human connection, compassion and unconditional positive regard one can open up new doors of self-discovery that will allow them to find meaning, purpose and healing. It is my goal to help shine light on areas of your inner experience that will foster your ability to expand your self-awareness and make life changes. No two individuals are the same, thus I strongly believe in working with you to understand what your unique experience is like and adjust my approach to meet you where you are at.

I have become acutely aware of how trauma can disrupt our lives and make it difficult to succeed in life.
I have spent the last 20 years providing mental health services to children and adults as I feel it is my calling. I am systems oriented as I do not believe that we exist in a vacuum. We are all influenced by the environment we live in. There are times when we all need assistance in navigating our individual systems.

Hi there, my name is Anthony Weeks and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Oceanside, California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in complex trauma, especially complex trauma in the LGBTQ+ community. Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
