Are you, or your child, struggling with ADHD, sleep problems, anxiety, depression, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, Autistic, Attachment or Neurodevelopment disorders?
You have a natural capacity in life for attention, focus, engagement, happiness, ease, relaxation and sleep. For many, neurofeedback is all they need to realize that potential. It can also provide the missing ingredient to realizing the fullness of their therapy, personal development, exercise, or nutrition programs.

I often work with people who grapple with hard questions to which there is no one "right" answer. I offer a non-judegmental atmosphere in which each person can seek his or her own answers. Therapy is a co-creation. I work with each person to find what "speaks" to him / her. That may include talking, mindfulness practices, or creative arts therapies. Using these methods accesses parts of the brain that can't be reached through words alone, and puts people in the flow of their wisdom and creativity, from which solutions to problems can emerge.

A lot of my clients come in tired of feeling misunderstood or like therapy just didn’t fit them. I’m direct, steady, and human, and I adapt therapy to your nervous system—not the other way around. I specialize in complex trauma (childhood, medical, religious, systemic, and relational), autism, ADHD, chronic illness, and LGBTQIA+ identities. We focus on what’s really getting in the way and build tools that work in your real life. We go at your pace, keep it honest, and take it one step at a time.

Thank you for exploring my webpage. I realize that doing so is a significant step and I hope that this information helps guide you in seeking the support you may need. I have been practicing in the field of clinical and neuropsychology for 25 years. Many individuals with whom I work are experiencing heightened stress, anxiety or depression in response to life circumstances, such as accidents/injuries, health issues, parenting challenges, and other provocative life situations. I offer a supportive environment to explore the ways in which such challenges may be motivating my clients to feel and behave as they do.

As a practicing School Psychologist and Licensed Educational Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting students, families, and schools, I founded Headstrong Educational Psychology on the principle that all children have unique strengths and learning styles. Through strength-based psychoeducational assessment, I help students understand how they learn, empower families, and develop solutions so students of all ages can thrive at school with confidence. As James Baldwin famously said, "not everything that has been faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed unless faced", I also offer you the following poem: "When we feel safe, anything is possible. We become unstoppable. Because we have a firm ground to launch and a safe ground to land. We can then stand. Voice ourselves, show ourselves. Life becomes a dance." With over 15 years of experience carefully providing integrative therapy (e.g., CBT, EMDR, ACT, IFS, EFT, Mindfulness, biofeedback, neurofeedback) and therapeutic assessments, I am excited to work collaboratively with you!

My approach is strength based, solution focused, and client centered. Clients are the experts in their own lives and I am honored to be a trusted support person to them. I believe all people struggle with issues that they can use support in coping with. I can provide a non-judgmental and empathetic position to allow clients to feel safe in confiding in me. I will also be doing all that I can to assess for their safety and take necessary steps to improve their safety. My method is to identify the primary issues, establish goals and work to support the client in applying techniques and skills to meet those goals.

Are you always in your head, second-guessing yourself, procrastinating, or getting stuck in anxiety spirals that won’t shut off? Are you juggling a lot and feeling like no matter how hard you try, it’s never quite enough? From the outside, you may look capable and put-together, but underneath you feel scattered, exhausted, or emotionally worn down. You might be navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, people pleasing or a major life transition, or feeling burned out from work, chronic stress, or how much you’re carrying. You’re functioning, but it’s costing you. You want to feel more regulated, more present, and more like yourself again.

Hello, I am excited to get to know you. I have been working in the mental health field for 14 years- mostly with clients with very serious symptoms who were also experiencing homelessness. I graduated with my master’s degree in 2021, and I have been working as a telehealth therapist ever since. I create a space for clients to talk about all the factors that impact their lives- whether that is finances, sex, politics, race, gender, or economics. I am a sex-positive, anti-racist, feminist, and queer clinician. Therapy should be a combination of unconditional acceptance, along with direct and clear feedback.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Therapists
When should someone seek treatment for a traumatic brain injury?
People should seek a diagnosis and treatment after a head injury, especially if they were unconscious, and an early diagnosis can lead to a better recovery. Signs of a concussion include headaches, nausea or vomiting, exhaustion, dizziness, vision problems, sensitivity to light and sound, problems with attention and memory, brain fog, unusual irritability or sadness, and unusual sleep patterns.

What’s the most common treatment for a traumatic brain injury?
Treatment for a traumatic brain injury will be different depending on the severity of the problem. For mild injuries, treatment may involve rest and over-the-counter pain or headache medication. For moderate or severe injuries, treatment may involve stabilization, medication, and rehabilitative therapies such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cognitive therapy, and counseling.

How long does it take to recover from traumatic brain injury?
The recovery time for a traumatic brain injury depends on the individual and the severity and nature of the injury; the length of time spent unconscious is often an indicator of severity. Recovery time for mild injuries may be a week or two while recovery time for more severe injuries may be six months to two years. Research suggests that the vast majority of recovery occurs in the first two years after an injury; recovery after that time frame is less certain.

What if a traumatic brain injury is left untreated?
If a traumatic brain injury is left untreated, it can lead to long-term physical and mental health problems. Physical problems may include dizziness, headaches, vision, healing, or speech loss, and an elevated risk of dementia. Psychological problems may include impairments of memory, judgment, and decision-making, depression, aggression, poor impulse control, and personality changes.
