MultiPlan Therapists in Sacramento, CA

What inspires me to work in mental health is the possibility of supporting another person or family through a difficult phase of their life. I have experience in trauma focused care, anxiety, depression, and parenting across all ages. I hope to use this experience to assist my clients in improving their quality of life. As a clinician, I come from a place of non-judgement, curiosity, and view my client as the expert of their own life. Therefore, I ask clarifying questions to make sure I understand what they are saying, validate, and respect where they are coming from.

I continue to work in the field of mental health as it is my strong belief that emphasizing “the whole systems” aspects of an individual is a direct pathway to healing. I hope to assist those I serve by collaborating with them and providing evidence-based guidance to professionally facilitate and support the healing journey. I consider myself a “Systems” therapist with focus on the entirety of a client’s personal and unique situation while selecting what methods, approaches, or philosophies would be appropriate. Each approach is focused on principles that are supported by empirical evidence and are fashioned for each client.

I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel truly seen and heard, without judgement. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about our path. My goal is to provide a space where you can show up exactly as you are, knowing you are supported and understood. With over 15 years of experience in health care settings, I work best with individuals who are motivated and ready to engage actively in their therapeutic journey.

What inspired me to become a therapist were the people around me. I was fortunate enough to have positive relationships that helped me overcome hardships and difficulties in life. Because of that, I understand the importance of have someone in your life that can be understanding, supportive, and at times challenging to overcome barriers. Everyone is on a different part of their journey and my goal is to meet clients where they are at. I understand that sometimes our journeys are non-linear. We experience setbacks, progress is made, we get thrown additional challenges, or sometimes we get stuck.

My ideal client is someone who has spent years carrying silent burdens—perhaps a high-functioning adult who appears put together on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck inside. They may have unresolved trauma that’s impacting their relationships or self-esteem, even if they can’t always name it. Many are men who have been taught to suppress emotion, who struggle to ask for help, and who are finally ready to break that cycle.
Others may be part of a couple navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, or emotional distance—craving connection but unsure how to rebuild trust or closeness.

Try as we might, sometimes happiness and contentment always seem just out of reach. Depression, anxiety and stress can make getting out of bed in the morning a daunting task. Troubles in your relationship or conflict in the family can make you feel helpless or overwhelmed. You don’t like yourself and never feel good enough at work or around certain people. Maybe you just can’t quite put your finger on exactly what is wrong, you just know you don’t want to hurt anymore. We want you to know that there is HOPE. Things can get better.

Growing up, I've always had a desire to help others. I witnessed this firsthand within the neighborhood I grew up in where a lot of families helped each other out during hard times. Within my sessions, I implement empathy, active listening and reflection and non-judgement to make clients feel heard and understood. I build rapport by creating a judgement free environment. This hopefully makes clients feel comfortable with expressing thoughts and feelings. Trust is also established by showing empathy and allowing clients to ask questions so they feel like an active participant in this process.
