I'm a gay, liberal, Hispanic, male veteran who is ready to help you figure out your situation.
You're in the chaos right now - relationship just ended, porn use spiraling, recovering from a narcissistic ex, or stuck in anxious-avoidant dating patterns. You need someone who gets it and can help you understand why you keep ending up here. I work with people ready to examine the hard stuff: attachment patterns, relationship choices, building real self-worth. I'm passionate about helping people date healthier (learned this the hard way myself). I see therapists needing their own space too. Specialties: sexuality, sex/porn addiction, narcissistic abuse recovery, LGBTQ+ issues, attachment/dating/poly, self-esteem. Ready? Lets talk

Welcome, I work primarily with clients that are within the LGBTQIA+ and Kink/BDSM communities. I also am body positive, sex positive, poly positive, geek/nerd positive, and trauma informed. I feel that the therapy space should feel safe and build on your strengths. If you’re here, you’re probably struggling with a significant burden in your life. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or even difficulties with relationships, I want you to know that researching your future therapist is a great first step. In fact, having a good relationship with them has been known to be a major factor in achieving progress in your therapy.

My ideal client is a deeply introspective individual who may identify as highly sensitive, intuitive, or newly aware of these traits after years of feeling misunderstood or stigmatized. They may be navigating the aftermath of trauma, grappling with feelings of inadequacy, or struggling to feel grounded in their sense of self. Their needs include a safe, compassionate space to explore their inner world, reconnect with their body, and process challenging emotions. They seek to better understand their experiences, heal unresolved wounds, and embrace their unique gifts.

My ideal clients are people who are ready to better understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, or relationship challenges. They may feel overwhelmed by expectations, navigating change, or trying to find balance between caring for others and honoring their own needs. What they’re seeking most is relief, understanding, and a sense of empowerment. a space where they can show up fully as themselves without judgment or pressure to fit into anyone else’s definition of who they should be.

I believe healing begins the moment someone feels truly heard. As a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, I offer a trauma informed, compassionate approach honoring each client’s unique story and personal path to healing. At my core, I’m a spiritual and naturally curious individual who enjoys exploring the complexity of the human experience. My ideal clients are families, couples, and individuals who hold everyone together, constantly apologize for needing space, terrified that if they stop over-functioning or people-pleasing, the relationships will fall apart, and who are finally ready to discover who they are together and apart.

You may be in a season of transition, questioning your identity, purpose, or sense of belonging. Perhaps anxiety, depression, grief, or a powerful inner or transpersonal experience has disrupted the way you understand yourself and your life. You may feel stuck in repeating patterns or disconnected from your creativity, body, or relationships, and sense that surface-level solutions aren’t enough. You want deeper understanding, integration, and meaning—ways to live more authentically and aligned. I help clients explore the unconscious patterns shaping their inner world so they can gain clarity, restore vitality, and heal.

Hispanic and Latino Therapists
What makes a Hispanic and Latino therapist effective?
An effective Hispanic and Latino therapist can combine a culturally sensitive lens with proven therapies, such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). They may have an understanding of cultural attitudes to therapy, including potential stigma, and can help a client navigate those concerns. Some clients may also appreciate a therapist who is bilingual and is comfortable conversing with the client in both English and Spanish. Languages spoken are indicated on a therapist’s directory profile.

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
A culturally sensitive therapist is respectful and considerate of all groups, and may have specific expertise with individuals of a certain ethnicity. These considerations can help a client feel understood and can improve the therapeutic alliance. While some people think highlighting race and ethnicity could promote stereotypes and bias, most agree that knowledge about cultural differences enhances the alliance between therapist and client.

How can I recognize a therapist who has expertise working with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Successful therapy depends a great deal on the relationship between client and therapist. Start by asking the therapist about their overall approach to therapy. You may then wish to ask about the therapist’s educational background and any additional training in cultural sensitivity that they have undertaken.

How might I inquire about a therapist's experience with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Ask a potential therapist whether they've worked with individuals who share this background or whether they’ve worked in these communities. If so, you may wish to ask them to elaborate on ways that they feel especially prepared to work with Hispanic and Latino clients. If they have not worked with such clients, they may know someone who has and be able to make a referral.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists?
The directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists includes providers who have identified their ethnicity in their profiles. Psychology Today uses this information to assist clients in finding a therapist who can provide a cultural match. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their ethnicity in their profiles, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. When the number of therapists near you who identify as Hispanic and Latino is limited, the directory will also show therapists with comprehensive experience working with clients from relevant backgrounds.
