Maybe from the outside everything looks fine, and that's exactly the problem. You've done the work: the journaling, the self-help, maybe even therapy before, and something still feels just out of reach. Or you've spent so much of your life adapting, performing, and surviving that you're not entirely sure who you are underneath all of it. Many of my clients have already done enough self-work to understand their patterns. Understanding them just hasn't been enough to stop them. If you're tired of circling the same version of yourself, that's enough to start.

I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key to creating meaningful change, and I strive to make therapy a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to explore, grow, and get to know yourself better. I came into this field of work because I am passionate about helping people navigate life challenges, to embrace their own true selves and live authentically. That is not easy to do in this world. My therapeutic style is warm, client centered, and collaborative. I will work along with the client to customize sessions to support needs and goals of treatment.

Are you, or your child, struggling with ADHD, sleep problems, anxiety, depression, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, Autistic, Attachment or Neurodevelopment disorders?
You have a natural capacity in life for attention, focus, engagement, happiness, ease, relaxation and sleep. For many, neurofeedback is all they need to realize that potential. It can also provide the missing ingredient to realizing the fullness of their therapy, personal development, exercise, or nutrition programs.

Many of us lead busy lives with little space to breathe, think, and make choices with clarity. We hold ourselves to unsustainable standards in our careers, relationships and as individuals. We move from day to day with anxious thoughts, or float numbly with disconnection and over-scheduling as a way to avoid pain. Often our expectations, goals and circumstances come at the expense of our own healthy well being.

I specialize in working with individuals with ADHD and other populations facing vulnerabilities and adversities.
I work with adults ready to make sense of their experiences and reconnect with their inner strength. Many clients identify with living with ADHD, recovering from trauma, or feeling stuck in cycles of overwhelm and self-doubt. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what's beneath the surface, and build tools to move forward.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
