I primarily specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders such as Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety/Social Phobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias.
As a therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will uncover long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, OCD , depression, and relationship problems.
Now offering teletherapy for clients in the Sacramento area. If you struggle with anxiety or depression, you know how difficult it can be to cope. Anxiety is easy to recognize. We worry more, avoid difficult situations, and feel tense, awkward, or ineffective. Depression feels exhausting and hopeless. We judge ourselves and others harshly, feel intense sadness, and become passive. It can feel like we can't do anything right or that things never go our way. Imagine being more active, skilled, and competent, communicating more effectively in relationships, being more productive at work or school, and feeling more satisfied with life.

We all strive to be happy in life. Unfortunately life is full of unpredictable struggles that get in the way of our path to happiness. To gain true happiness we must learn how to love ourselves. Loving ourselves starts with self-understanding and believing in ourselves. Struggles unfortunately make us believe that things are not meant to be, or that we will simply never be happy. This negative pattern of thinking is what keeps us from finding happiness. Remember, we have all the tools within us to achieve happiness and create the life we love.

I work with people who are struggling, and decide take the courageous step to ask for help. Many have a history of trauma and suffer from anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, parenting challenges, sleep issues, sexual difficulties, chronic pain, relationship problems, and other post-traumatic responses. Also, present-day situations in our personal or collective worlds can be objectively hard to bear. Our experiences leave traces psychologically and somatically, so I use evidence-based, body-oriented, mindfulness techniques to address limiting patterns so that you can live more authentically today's challenging world.

I promote growth and healing through compassionate insight, reflection and strategic direction! Acquired Knowledge seems most beneficial when put to use to benefit ourselves or others, for as we serve and engage with others, we more readily discover our true selves. I subscribe to Emerson's notion; "Do the thing, and you will have the power" rather than give me the power and then I will act! I enjoy being a contributing factor to others growth and advancement and relish witnessing the blossoming of added confidence, enhanced self-esteem. and true growth!

I specialize in treating adolescent concerns, eating disorders & body image issues, trauma, and anxiety. If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, or have been through something traumatic or distressing, you’re not alone. Even the strongest amongst us have times when external and internal pressures can overwhelm our physiological and psychological ability to cope. Psychotherapy is a proven and effective intervention to help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, heal from past trauma, and provide tools for maintaining emotional health for the long-term. For others, our relationships can become chaotic or broken and we just need someone to guide us as we navigate all the different personalities that make up a family.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). It affects children, kids, teens and adults. Often the person carries out the behaviors to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but this only provides temporary relief. Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.
