I work with a wide range of clients, each facing their own set of challenges. Whether it's dealing with issues related to eating or embracing neurodiversity like autism and ADHD, I strive to create a warm and inviting environment for self-discovery. I have a wealth of experience working with kids, teens, and the LGBTQ+ community. As someone who identifies as queer, my goal is to create a supportive and empowering space for fellow LGBTQ+ individuals.

Most of us seek therapy in crisis: facing divorce, job loss, a cancer diagnosis, etc. This means danger and opportunity. The danger is shutting down (hiding your feelings) or "acting out" (fighting or seeking comfort in affairs, the internet, alcohol/drugs etc.). The opportunity is to learn new ways to connect deeply with yourself and those you love; to accept and express your deepest feelings and needs; and to hear others' feelings with openness. You can create your life anew and authentically. I know this road personally. And I welcome you, as you share your journey from crisis to growth.

I specialize in working with individual adults (18+) who are grieving a loss, healing from trauma, experiencing emotional dysregulation, having relationship or communication issues, or who need help with decision-making and taking the next steps through challenging life events and changes. Some clients have specific goals they wish to accomplish in therapy. When client goals are clear, we may work together on a solution-focused approach. More often, goals will quickly develop as we collaboratively explore the client’s identified problems, skills, needs, and desires for change.

I think therapy has a lot to do with the "art of conversation" & how we relate to one another. My goal as your clinician will be to hear you, understand the world you live in & support your efforts to improve your sense of self, life-functioning skills & overall happiness. I use acceptance, empathy & compassion with my clients, emphasizing how your current strengths can support you when facing difficulties & challenges in your life. I encourage my clients to be the experts in the room & will work to support, guide & aid you toward a happier & healthier life. I am excited to now offer perinatal support to expecting & new mothers!

What do you want in your life? Is your daily life reflecting what's most important to you? Does one thing or another keep getting in the way? Are you unclear what steps can you take right now? - This is where we can focus in therapy. In short term therapy (3 - 6 months), we address your most important concerns in a goal focused way - and achieve results. I am also offering longer term therapy using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach - a powerful way to understand inner conflicts or wounds that are limiting us, and heal them. Meet me: Free video or phone consultation to see if either approach is right for you!
