Therapy should be a place where you can grow and become your best self. My goal is to foster positive change that leads you to a more fulfilling life. I work to build an environment based off of warmth, trust, and allows you to be who you really are. My approach leans on small, obtainable changes that help you build momentum towards your larger goals. I take a collaborative approach so that you'll never feel alone, you'll always have someone by your side. This is the first step in feeling better and I'd love to be a part of this journey with you.

Starting therapy takes courage, and it isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s messy, uncomfortable, or just plain hard—and that’s okay. My goal is to be fully present with you through the tough stuff, not just the breakthroughs. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure of what’s next, we’ll work together to make sense of things and build a path forward.

Many couples feel good about their relationship in general, but there are a few areas where they feel could be even better. Therapy can help improve communication skills, increase emotional & physical intimacy, and help navigate conflict with a focus on resolution and repair. When these fundamental skills are in place, they can be applied to tougher issues such as trust, betrayal, resentment, and high conflict. Sometimes, couples make the decision to end their relationship and are looking for a peaceful way to close one chapter together and establish new rules of engagement for the chapter ahead. I'm here to help!

Navigating life is often challenging for teens & young adults. It is easy to feel lost and overwhelmed by the demands and expectations that are placed on them. However, with the right support this can be an incredibly interesting and exciting time in their lives! I have helped many youth and families find their way and even thrive during this period. Many teens struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, anger-management, family conflict, and traumatic experiences. I focus on improving emotional well-being, enhancing communication with peers and family, and making good decisions regarding relationships and personal safety.

We work together to develop awareness, response-ability and the making of more satisfying choices. We may focus on relationships, conflicts, effective communication, boundary handling and adequate expression. Issues such as validation, power and control, trust and intimacy, anxiety, abandonment and loss are met as needed. We shift more deeply from who we thought we had to be to the integrity of what we are. We become more capable of handling feelings & behaviors within ourselves & with others.

I work with adults of all ages & phases of life. I specialize in supporting them to work with & through life challenges, relationships, transitions, addictions, depression, anxiety, & trauma. Often the most painful “symptoms” are actually aspects of us, protective strengths that are outdated or out of balance with our life and our truth. It may be something deep within us trying to loudly get our attention that something is off & needs to change. Whatever drives you to show up for yourself & your life in this way…welcome! Whether we incorporate IFS, EMDR, Ketamine Assisted Therapy, or other, there’s hope & help!

We all have the potential to lead a fulfilling life. Difficult challenges may keep us from reaching that potential though, and we can find ourselves stuck in repetitive cycles of suffering. I offer somatic therapy, neurofeedback, and biofeedback with a focus on the alleviation of symptoms through inner transformation. With close attention to the unresolved emotional pain and nervous system dysregulation that drive symptoms, I help clients find resilience within the difficulties they face. I draw from time-tested and evidence-based approaches suited to each client's unique needs.

Men's Issues Therapists

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
