As a Therapist, I work with a deep sense of compassion and curiosity to provide the best support in a sacred- therapeutic space processing thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs. The process usually entails asking difficult questions about the perpetual positioning and interpretations of past/ current situations. I'm curious to see what will emerge during our sessions and how the shift in perspective will create a more empowering version of yourself.

What happens when your vocation routinely requires you to be there at someone else's worst moment of their life? What happens when you cannot shake the day off when you come home? Who can you reach out to when you give all you can and it never seems to be enough for the people you're trying to help, your boss, or your family when you are home? How did a "career" become your life and the highs and lows seem to define your worth? Healthy processing of traumatic events and their proper placement in your life can help you realign thinking patterns, release negativity, and reclaim joy.

It's time- New year, new You. Stressed out & Burned out from everyday life and years of trauma, feels suffocating. Being fed up, defeated, exhausted, & fatigued. There's no place to recharge. It's a struggle of surviving Desi values in an all- American society HECK- being a Desi kid is hard. Adulting, juggling kids, managing parents, and a job is even harder. Life keeps getting harder and you have no choice but to keep going. Feelings of dread keep you up at night, disrupts your work, and destroys your relationships.

Everyone is experiencing unique challenges right now. Some are considering therapy for the first time. Reach out. Get the support you need. Times of stress can bring out ways of coping that are not useful or helpful, they can surface old wounds and patterns that are painful. Take the time and space you need to take care of yourself. Whether you just need to work on the anxiety related to your life right now or you want to finally get to the roots of "stuck" patterns, this is a good time to start.

I specialize in supporting women struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or high sensitivity to embrace their whole self with compassion & acceptance by using a therapy approach that is supportive, informative, and fun!
You want to live an authentic life but feel pressured to keep up with what others are doing. You’re someone who struggles with saying no and tend to seek approval and acceptance from others. You may frequently worry about things that “could happen” or the “what ifs” of what could go wrong. Maybe you get flustered when you have a lot to do in a short amount of time or have difficulty relaxing & resting due to the pressure of “hustle culture.” You may feel easily overwhelmed by loud noise, crowds of people, bright lights and need time alone to recover. You’re stuck between choosing what feels right to you vs what others think.

Relationships can be hard to navigate when we don't allow ourselves to say what we need to say. Sometimes, we avoid speaking up to prevent conflict, and other times, we fear the outcome if we do. Perhaps you've been told, "You're too sensitive," or "You're angry all the time." These comments can lead to resentment, causing you to shut down and isolate yourself. Because of this, your mind races, you may feel a tightness in your chest, and sleep becomes difficult. I understand—you’re just trying to protect yourself. You just want to be understood and feel safe in your relationships. That’s where I come in.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
