My specialty is couples counseling and I use a very effective model of therapy for healing relationships.... Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) by Sue Johnson. Research has shown that 70-75% of couples who go through EFT therapy feel closer to their partner and 90% show improvements.
Finding the right therapist that you both feel comfortable with is very important. I attempt to understand each individuals emotional experience in the relationship without placing blame on either of you but create understanding for you both.
