You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. If you are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to move forward, you aren't alone. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity, academic stress, or difficult life transitions, you’ve likely been doing your best to hold everything together. I provide a dedicated, affirming space for children, teens, adults, and families, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and foster youth. My goal is to help you move past just "getting by" so you can live with greater clarity. You deserve a place where your story is honored and your growth is the priority.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California for 14 years. Over my career as a therapist, I have assisted a variety of clients from children to older adults. My clinical concentrations are trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and stage of life transitions. I strive to create a non-judgmental and supportive space for a client to feel safe to explore and express their difficulties. From here, I assist my client in clarifying her/his current needs, what has been helping, what additional skills and supports are needed, and how to best approach making change.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I use the proven method of therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing). I also incorporate CBT and person-centered therapy in sessions. This combination seems to be effective in helping people work through the issues that are creating anxiety, depression, anger, and other feelings that interfere with relationships and daily living. I love helping people reach new levels of understanding about themselves. With this understanding comes tools for coping with issues that are solvable problems.

Basically, my approach is to get to the issue and prescribe a solution. I don't want to go to my car mechanic and have him ask me, "What do you think is wrong with your car...how would you fix it." If I knew what was wrong and how to fix it, I wouldn't have to pay a mechanic, I'd be fixing it my self. When I go therapy I ask my therapist to tell me what they see and give me some tools. After all, the goal is to get you through and out of therapy. ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONS

I also focus on such conditions in aging populations and treat patients with age-related, retirement, grief, and loss issues throughout the life cycle.
I strive to create a supportive therapy environment that engenders two-way rapport and trust. I try to be as directive as necessary to assist my patients, but I don't lecture or judge them. I want my patients to feel safe and comfortable in therapy with the objectives and goals we establish, and experience confidence that they can resolve their difficulties.

Living with anxiety, fear, worry, and depression can feel very discouraging, sometimes hopeless,  and these feelings can grow to be so BIG that they inevitably impact our relationships, work, dreams and goals. If you're reading this today, you might be feeling sick and tired of being sick and tired; you might feel desperate, you may have hit rock bottom or perhaps you're just hoping, praying, to find relief and a chance at something better.
