I have 3 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults through life transitions, grief, mood disorders, and more.
No one needs to tell you that life absolutely sucks sometimes. Do you get angry with yourself for doing that thing again or still feeling this way? Are you feeling discouraged about what you are going through? I want to be here for you. Whatever your circumstances, I hope to encourage you to think critically about your experiences while understanding that your struggles do not define you as a person. Together, we can learn how to communicate, identify and regulate emotions, understand you in full context, and process past/present circumstances. I aim to develop a safe therapeutic relationship with you that focuses on your goals.

Whether we are going through a life transition, experiencing the loss of something meaningful to us, or simply feeling stagnant in life, just to name a few.
My approach is strength-based. I like to look at the whole person, their environment, and their systems. I believe it’s pivotal to explore all these areas to better understand the distress they are experiencing. I strongly believe that all individuals are much more than the symptoms they are experiencing.

Whether you're struggling with consequences stemming from past trauma, chronic mental illness, grief/ loss, hopelessness, anger, resentment or profound life changes; healing is possible.
The body and mind naturally desire balance and homeostasis, but sometimes the attempts we make at achieving that only have short term success and long term negative consequences. This is because they often do not address the ROOT of the dysfunction. So in the most sincere way let me say, you matter, what has happened to you matters and you are not alone.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
