My name is Feji, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions.
I often say that our bodies are wise, they consistently signal when unresolved emotions and inner conflicts are left unaddressed. Just as we tend to our physical health, it’s vital that we nurture our internal world with the same care and intention.

I believe therapy is the opportunity to be selfishly authentic in explaining how you're feeling and get feedback based on those thoughts that can be hard to share with the people in your life. I'm not sure what brought you to look for a therapist, maybe a big change, losing someone, or just feeling ready to see if a therapeutic relationship can help you move through some things, but I'm glad you're here.

Thank you for choosing to embark on your healing journey. It takes strength and self-awareness to seek support, and that courage marks the beginning of a meaningful transformation. I’m honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, growth, and healing. In our work together, I take a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that understanding our family of origin and the impact of generational trauma is key to making meaningful changes in the present. These early experiences often shape how we show up in the world, sometimes in ways we don’t even realize.

Connection is at the heart of the work—but with older children, teens, and adults, that connection may look a little different. I meet each person where they are and use approaches that fit their age, interests, and goals.
Whatever you or your child are navigating, we’ll face it together. We might work on building practical tools for managing big emotions, strengthening relationships, improving focus and organization, or processing experiences that feel overwhelming. For some, that may include creative expression, movement, or experiential work; for others, it may look more like conversation, skill-building, and reflection.

You're the one everyone counts on. You're good at your job, and you can explain almost anything, including your own feelings. Lately, explaining isn't helping. A breakup, a family rift, or a hard season at work has stirred up emotions that logic can't settle. You're short with people, up at night, and harder on yourself than ever. Maybe you tried therapy before and felt like you just talked. I help high-achieving women connect with their feelings without being overwhelmed by them, so they can
speak up for themselves and ease up on the self-criticism.

Things are really hard right now - it is more important than ever to have support. That looks different for everyone, but whether it's parenting, relationship, work, family - or all of the above, create some space and a plan to walk through it - together. It is a journey of insight, compassion, respect, honesty, integrity and courage.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.
What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.
How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.
How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
