Life is full of transitions and sometimes it's hard to know who you are on the other side of them. Maybe you're navigating a career shift, a relationship change, or simply a quiet but persistent feeling that something needs to be different. You're not broken. You're just ready for something more - more clarity, more confidence, more ease. I work with young professionals like yourself who are in the messy middle; people who are done feeling stuck, second-guessing themselves and ready to build a life that actually feels like theirs.

Life is an extraordinary journey filled with constant changes and challenges. Therapy is a powerful tool that helps us navigate our way through some of the more chaotic and confusing times. The best answers are found by looking inward; examining personal strengths, values and beliefs, to gain insight and promote personal growth. I provide individual, couples and family therapy with a focus on building healthy relationships with self, family, friends and community. Most of our significant relationships fall somewhere on the continuum between dependency and interdependency.

I work with adults and couples struggling with relationship distress, anxiety, childhood wounds, grief, and life transitions.
Are you looking to start individual or couples therapy? Life is busy and messy. Between work, relationships, family expectations, and daily demands, it can be hard to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. Therapy creates space to pause and reflect — to distinguish between the loud voice of self-criticism and the quieter wisdom of your inner compass. Together, we shift from reactivity to intention, strengthen communication, and build greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust. For more info on my work, check out my personal website: Pranapsychotherapy.

You look like you have it all together, but inside you’re battling anxiety, self-criticism, and the fear of not being enough. The pressure to perform perfectly in your work, relationships, and life is exhausting. You lie awake replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, and wondering why you can’t just “get over it.” Even when things seem fine from the outside, there’s a constant hum of worry, self-doubt, or the weight of past trauma that keeps you feeling stuck, disconnected, and running on empty. I offer in-person therapy in San Diego, CA, and online therapy across California, Indiana, and Ohio.

As a psychotherapist, I use a holistic approach that blends clinical research with Eastern wisdom. I have trained extensively for a decade with renowned Psychiatrist, Dr. Jeffery M. Schwartz in his Four Step Method, which combines Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with the Buddhist principle of Mindfulness. Although, the Four Steps was originally created to treat OCD, my recent collaboration in the advancement of the Four Steps has shown that it is also successful for various circumstances including anxiety, depression, phobias, addiction, and eating disorders. My work is highlighted in Dr. Jeffrey M. Schwartz's new book, "You Are Not Your Brain".

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, or past trauma take hold. You might find yourself trapped in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion—struggling to keep up with daily demands while feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Maybe past experiences continue to surface in ways you can’t quite explain, making it hard to move forward. The weight of these emotions can be isolating, leaving you feeling stuck or uncertain about how to find relief. No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to face it alone—there is hope, and healing is possible.

Choosing a therapist is an important decision. My goal as your therapist is to help you find healthy ways to engage in life and use your strengths to help understand, uncover, and dismantle what is creating anxiety, depression and other emotional concerns you may find yourself living with. Therapy can help to create an environment to move through the process of self-discovery and self-awareness in a safe way. The treatments I work with have proven to be effective, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness therapy, and EMDR. I believe therapy is foremost, about building a trusting relationship with a qualified person.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions or find yourself reacting in ways that don't fully make sense? Perhaps a part of you feels stuck, unseen, or scared. You might feel confused, lost, or carry wounds that surface in your relationships and daily life. I help women understand and heal the deep roots of emotional pain so they can feel more grounded, connected, and in control. Together, we’ll gently explore the parts of you that learned to cope with pain early on or feel stuck in survival mode. I create a safe space where you can slow down, open up, and begin to make sense of your world without shame while honoring where you are.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders. I have been practicing for several years and believe in treating clients with mental health and/or substance abuse issues from a holistic approach. While medicine management can be a crucial aspect of treatment, I believe, to aid healing one must consider the human as a whole.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
