My theoretical orientation is influenced by Family/Relational Systems, Self Psychology and Jungian Psychology.
Thoughts, feelings and actions are all energetically connected. Conscious insight into all three of these is essential for changing patterns that no longer serve you. I provide support, tools and insight to help you find the resources within yourself and your life to help you deal with loss/grief, shift relationship patterns, heal personal struggles, and alleviate depression and anxiety. A good therapeutic connection can provide a different experience and perspective, and help you heal and thrive in your life. You do not need to be a prisoner of your past. You can transform your present and create your future.

As a psychotherapist and Jungian analyst, I will help you tap inner resources to better understand & deal with life challenges. We will explore who the 'you' is under anxiety, depression, fears, difficult relationships, and low self-esteem. As a Marriage and Family Therapist and analyst, I am flexible in providing the type of treatment best suited for each client, whether it is supportive when navigating difficult life transitions or analytic when exploring the inner dynamics of psyche and Self. During our work together we can explore how dreams, art, journaling, sandtray, & creative imagination play an active part in healing.

As a Psychologist, I see adults individually with an emphasis in Jungian Psychotherapy.
It may very well be that our deepest longing and need is for connection. To be heard and understood. To be known in places where many others are never allowed. To be more connected to the lost neglected parts of ourselves and those we care about. You have this opportunity in the safety of psychotherapy. It isn't always an easy road. Perhaps this sounds intimidating. Often it entails letting go of destructive habits or getting unstuck. We may need to look at old patterns and create new ones. There may be moments of laughing, crying, or facing hard truths.

I work from a depth-based, Jungian approach with a focus on underlying truths, and particularly enjoy working with artists/creatives.
Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed, ruminating, insecure, or stuck in self-loathing? Are you or your loved ones repeating behaviors, relationships, or situations, and wishing you could break the cycle? Maybe little things feel more stressful than usual. Sometimes, we aren't sure what causes our distress, but we can sense we're not reaching our potential for health, happiness, or success. Even when we know the cause, change can still feel impossible. That's where I come in. My job is not to judge you, it's to listen, help you understand the root causes of your difficulties, and teach you practical tools to help change your life.

I use a holistic approach, integrating humanistic, Jungian psychology, mindfulness work using breath and sensory awareness.
Life can be challenging and complex. At times we are faced with situations that feel overwhelming and seemingly insurmountable. Trauma can result in a loss of a sense of self and hopelessness. Engaging in therapy is a personal decision; one that requires commitment and hard work to attain life changes. I believe therapy tailored to meet individual needs can facilitate increased self-awareness leading to emotional, as well as, relational attunement and enhancement. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds, offering sensitivity to experiences of marginalization, ableism, discrimination, racism, or other 'isms encountered.

While I am steeped in various treatment modalities to assist clients in addressing their symptoms, situations, and concerns, I particularly practice psychotherapy with a Jungian /Depth Psychology orientation and a mythopoetic/archetypal imagination.
Synchronicity: what C.G. Jung understood as meaningful chance. Finding a therapist involves courage, commitment, and intention...and then synchronicity brings you to just the right therapist who can soulfully, heartfully accompany you as you find your way and discover purpose, joy, and meaning! I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years working with individuals, couples, and families from a range of cultural backgrounds, as well as with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and work/life challenges/transitions. I am a seasoned therapist serving individuals' inner process, creative talents, and higher calling.

My specific areas of training are in Jungian Depth Psychotherapy and systems theory.
Life can be complicated and sometimes things happen that can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, others and the world. Maybe you feel shame, anxiety, loneliness, or struggles with eating and body image. I believe in a body-mind-spirit approach that understands your symptoms as an invitation to look deeper within in order to reclaim a state of wholeness and meaning in life. I work from place of curiosity, allowing your unique process to develop in a way that best serves your healing journey so you can live the life you want- a life of purpose and meaning.

My approach integrates psychodynamic theory, Jungian depth psychology, and mindfulness practices.
This world can be a lonely and overwhelming place. Therapy provides a space to process the chaos of life while deepening your relationships - with yourself, with others, with the unknowable. When we allow ourselves to be truly seen and accepted, healing can begin.

Hey there! I know for a lot of people, starting therapy or looking for a therapist can feel confusing and overwhelming. I usually tell people one, simple piece of advice from one of my trusted mentors....choose someone you feel safe with. And I agree with him. Choose a therapist you get that "safe feeling" with. Trust your gut.

I specialize in working with individual adults and couples who, despite success they may be experiencing in many aspects of their lives, are feeling depressed and/or anxious, and who may have reached a point where their life lacks a sense of purpose and meaning. Ideally, clients I work with are willing to explore their past for the purpose of identifying patterns in the way they have behaved and felt, and for the purpose of understanding how these patterns may have developed. Then, I will help you identify specific changes you may want to consider to help you move forward.

Do you need a place to be yourself? To be seen and fully accepted for who you are and encouraged to take leaps and risks to craft who you want to be? The fear of failure and judgments, our own and others, often holds us back from exploring the edge of our possibilities. I am passionate about creating a nurturing relationship where you can begin to practice and embody the changes you want to create in your own life. I work with individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families. I specialize in women who are reinventing themselves and family members of individuals with mental illness.

You deserve to be happy and my goal is to get you there. Together we can explore the issues at hand and develop a plan that allows you to move forward, confidently. Do you feel like life has become unmanageable? Are you unsure of the next step? I self identify as Nonbinary and am a LGBTQ+ supportive, affirming therapist. My specialty is transgender, nonbinary, and/or gender questioning adults, and teens. Did you know people can question their gender or even begin to recognize that they don't identify as their sex assigned at birth as early as age 3! Gender identity issues are difficult to navigate...for client AND parents. As a parent, you may experience grief, confusion, overwhelming questions and feelings, plus, your child's own confusion and overwhelming feelings. Come visit for an hour and let's see how we can work through this time together.

Jungian Therapists

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
