Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I believe that healing begins with a genuine non-judgmental connection. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Life doesn’t come with a manual, and sometimes the tools we’ve used in the past stop working, it may be time for a new strategy. Often, the challenges we face in the present are rooted in stories we’ve been carrying for a long time. I work with individuals who are ready to look beneath the surface to understand the ‘why’ behind their emotions and relationships.

My ideal client is an adult who wants therapy to be supportive and structured, and is ready to understand themselves more deeply. I work best with people navigating stress, life transitions, or patterns that leave them feeling stuck. Clients who appreciate direct guidance delivered with warmth, and who are open to mind–body exploration, reflective work, and practical skill‑building tend to thrive with me. I’m a strong fit for those who value culturally informed therapy and want to feel understood, supported, and gently challenged toward meaningful change.

You are successful, driven, and capable, yet inside you constantly question yourself. No matter how much you achieve, it never quite feels earned. You worry that at some point you will be exposed as not good enough. Maybe your mind is busy with self-doubt, intrusive thoughts, or health worries that scare you. You may also be struggling with deeply personal concerns around sex, performance anxiety, or feeling disconnected from your body or partner. These issues can feel isolating and difficult to talk about. What you want is relief, confidence, and a sense of calm, not just to function, but to feel at ease in your own mind.

Reaching out for help is one of the most humbling experiences we can go through in life. In a world that is constantly pushing narratives on us based on race, gender, sexuality and/or dominant cultural beliefs, it is life-affirming to engage preferred narratives that support and empower our own values. In difficult times it is easy to feel misunderstood or lost, longing to reconnect with our own resources. My work aims for those reconnections. My approach is collaborative, working from a place of respectful curiosity. I am not the expert on your lived experience. You are.

My ideal clients are strong, capable people who feel weighed down by trauma, stress, or sudden life changes. They often appear high-functioning but inside feel anxious, disconnected, or burned out. What they need most is a safe, judgment-free space with someone who understands their struggles. Their goals are to regain control, ease symptoms, reconnect with loved ones, and rediscover who they are beyond the pain. Above all, they want real relief, hope, and a path forward they can trust.

Life is a long and difficult journey. At some point, we all face challenges ( whether personal, relational, cultural, situational, or spiritual) that can leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed, or even knocked off course. When we are at most vulnerable times, seeking help can feel like the hardest thing to do. But therapy can be one of the most powerful and life-changing investments you make in yourself. It certainly was for me decades ago. I see therapy as a process rooted in trust-building, empathic understanding and mutual endeavor to reach therapeutic goals.

In my work with clients, I focus on anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, difficulties with self-expression & OCD. I'm here to help you experience the healing and lasting change that you want. Many of us spend years and years suffering, experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and negative self-talk. Sadly, we will often navigate this suffering alone and without any company or support. As a result, we find ourselves stuck in patterns and cycles of pain, stress and emotional overwhelm. I work from a depth-oriented approach that helps individuals and couples overcome these painful patterns and cycles.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
