We are not so much defined by what happens to us in life, but rather by how we respond to what happens. Intuitively we may know problems are opportunities to change and to grow, but sometimes we feel stuck, anxious and disempowered. Please know emotional pain is the only thing in life likely to jump-start a process of personal transformation. You are likely on the threshold of making that inward turn--taking yourself more seriously by addressing the pain of the past, accepting responsibility for prior choices and formulating commitments to do some things differently from here forward.

Living with anxiety, fear, worry, and depression can feel very discouraging, sometimes hopeless,  and these feelings can grow to be so BIG that they inevitably impact our relationships, work, dreams and goals. If you're reading this today, you might be feeling sick and tired of being sick and tired; you might feel desperate, you may have hit rock bottom or perhaps you're just hoping, praying, to find relief and a chance at something better.

I am a bilingual (Spanish) licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a focus on solutions and short-term-outcomes, rather than spending years analyzing the problem. While traditional long-term therapy and in-depth exploration of the past may be appropriate in some situations, it's generally not necessary. Whether it's court-ordered classes, separation, divorce, domestic violence, parenting or co-parenting, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, I'll personalize a plan that guides you to the desired outcome.

Basically, my approach is to get to the issue and prescribe a solution. I don't want to go to my car mechanic and have him ask me, "What do you think is wrong with your car...how would you fix it." If I knew what was wrong and how to fix it, I wouldn't have to pay a mechanic, I'd be fixing it my self. When I go therapy I ask my therapist to tell me what they see and give me some tools. After all, the goal is to get you through and out of therapy. ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONS

Wolkig with all age groups, I offer my years of experience in helping clients achieve life enhancing changes. The hypnotic state allows a person to be more open to suggestion. So-called "POSTHYPNOTIC SUGGESTIONS" may improve treatments for many conditions, including: phobias, fears, anxiety, sleep disorder, PTSD, grief and loss. Hypnotherapy can help changing a person's behavior, such as smoking, biting nails, alcohol & drug addiction, obesity, low self esteem and relationship problems. Furthermore, hypnotherapy is particularly useful in treating pain and preparing for surgery. Hypnotherapy proves to be an excellent tool to enhance sport specific skills in golf, tennis, football, baseball and others.

Are the present circumstances getting too stressful? There are so many changes of which we are not in control- job insecurity, fear of disease/death, separation from family members, and kids at home - every day, ALL day! (I am a Registered Play Therapist along with being a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.) Life's difficulties may have seemed manageable a few months ago, but now are overwhelming.

Oftentimes people believe that therapy is complicated and/or long term, but it does not always have to be. I believe in solution-oriented therapy which helps my clients obtain insight and clarity so that they are able to move beyond the areas that are keeping them "stuck". I take an active and direct approach to helping my clients develop a true sense of self so that they can live happier and more fulfilled lives.

Have you ever wondered why you keep getting into the same relationship, just with different people? Do you have difficulty setting and holding boundaries or truly know what a boundary looks like? Do you struggle to speak your truth? Do you lack self-confidence? Do you lack emotional honesty? Or wonder what it is? Do you have entire conversations in your head before you have the actual conversation? Do you struggle to identify your feelings? Do you spend a lot of time in the future, trying to figure out what will happen and how to either make it happen or prevent it from happening? If you answered yes to any or all, I can help.
