As a licensed clinical social worker who has been in practice for over 18 years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients dealing with a variety of issues. Some of my particular interests and expertise include: adolescents and college age students as well as providing parenting support to parents with children of all ages. I also work with adults and couples dealing with issues such as: depression, anxiety, life transitions, career changes, communication issues, and parenting concerns.

I work with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD, usually without the use of medication. Intrusive and upsetting thoughts can be so frightening that we feel trapped inside our own minds. It is my goal to help you to regain comfort within yourself. I help many clients manage withdrawal effects from drugs, alcohol, and prescription medication, including antidepressants.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist treating children, adolescents, and adults who have excessive worries and anxieties, OCD and depression. I also consult with parents about their children and provide parent education as needed. In therapy, the relationship we build is the foundation for change and when we change, everything changes...I do not believe therapy has to necessarily be difficult and work to find humor and a lighter approach whenever possible.

I like to work with parents of teens and parents of newborns as well as couples considering children and even coping with aging parents.
