Whether you’ve faced overwhelming life events or been impacted by repetitive, ongoing emotional struggles, trauma can live in the body and subconscious mind—shaping patterns of anxiety, disconnection, or emotional numbness that can be hard to understand. If you experience anxiety, depression, relational challenges, PTSD, or feel stuck in repetitive behaviors or thought spirals, these may be signs of unresolved trauma. Healing begins by bringing gentle awareness to these inner wounds and working with them in a safe, compassionate way.

Welcome to my practice. I’m glad you’re here. Being human isn’t easy, and you don't have to work through life's challenges alone. I work with clients to inspire your innate wisdom and restore a sense of wellness to your life. I seek to treat the entire person not just a narrow set of symptoms. This could mean finding hope in darkness, calm in a storm, perspective when lost in the woods, or a steady hand to help you up after you’ve fallen. If we work together, the therapy process will be unique as a truthful reflection of your unique self—including your personal history, strengths, challenges, goals, and present capacity.

Additionally, I am well-versed in many women's issues, including postpartum depression, brief psychosis, and fetal demise.
Becoming a therapist was my first choice, a passion I discovered during my sophomore year as an undergrad. Of course, it was not my first major, as I thought I would attend medical school. However, due to a car accident, I had to take a break from classes with laboratory courses, which led me to psychology. The best methods to pique anyone's interest are, in my opinion, abnormal psychology and personality psychology; they started my passion for learning more. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I applied for my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialty in Latino Family Studies.

It takes immense courage to reach out when you feel disconnected or stuck in repeating patterns. Whether you are navigating the profound identity shift of motherhood, healing from relational trauma, or grappling with the weight of unresolved PTSD, you don't have to do this alone. I work with women and individuals who feel "stuck" despite having deep insight—people who are ready to stop "pushing through" and start feeling whole again. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming and focused on nervous system regulation, helping you process unfinished emotional material so you can move forward with genuine agency and clarity.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
