I use humor,
spirituality
, and radical love to support you.
Childhood is the single most important predictor of well being in human development. Many of us have buried painful memories into our subconscious. By approaching the issues holistically, we will help you live the life you deserve and want. Wellness, in its literal definition means a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit. My role as a therapist is to guide you toward finding that balance and connection to self. We will explore how your thoughts, emotions, body, childhood experiences, relationships, and current environment are contributing to your distress and healing.

I know how it feels to be stuck in pain, and I know how amazing and life changing it feels to find a way out. I believe that this process is what builds beautiful, strong resilient people. I help people on that path. I believe that involves processing past pain, and then using
spirituality
, nature, movement, art, music and human connections to pursue the values and passions you discovered on your journey. I also enjoy helping couples and families learn skills that enable them to connect, understand each other and work together.

I feel psychology and
spirituality
go hand in hand so I focus on Theta therapy.
I am a Spiritual Life and Mindset coach and focus on theta therapy. Although licensed, I choose to use my academic and spiritual background to help through coaching. I am a Licensed therapist, Licensed Educational Psychologist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and have been on the field for 20 years. I experience with both children and adults. Why do I call myself a coach? I feel that each person has all the tools they need for change, development and improvement inside themselves and I am just your guide. I do one to one sessions and teach classes. No Insurance.

My passion is to help those who feel weary and lost. It is difficult to be present and live a fulfilling life when the chains of past events hold us back. As hard as we run and distract ourselves, we also run away from our sense of self. Avoiding pain can grow into unhealthy behaviors and addiction. My intention is to help build a foundation for a meaningful life. Core pieces of the foundation include insight, communication, emotions, and connection. These pieces are vital to maintaining healthy relationships and attaining the love we want. Other important areas to consider are cultural identity,
spirituality
, and our past.

Not all therapist are willing to explore
spirituality
, but I am.
I am dedicated to helping people heal in their specific area of need. My general practice targets a multiplicity of needs by treating a variety of common psychological disorders (anxiety/phobias/depression, etc.), dysfunctional relationships (poor relationship choices, sexual "hang ups"), and stubborn repetitive habits/problems (procrastination, quick temper, etc). I have a technique that gets to the root of the problem, often quickly and very effectively, and helps people manage their lives differently from that point forward.

I work through a Christian worldview, and whether
spirituality
is incorporated in therapy or not, I see all people as having significant worth and value.
When life feels harder than it should, there's always a reason. Difficult events, whether past or present, can make daily life difficult. If you feel like you're doing more surviving than thriving, I'm here to help. I work from a trauma model, which looks at the impact of events on the way we think, feel, and act in the present. Abuse, lack of nurture, or catastrophic events can significantly impact normal functioning. Life gets better, and I work hard everyday to move people toward hope and healing.

For those clients who are interested in integrating their spiritual beliefs into therapy, I have extensive training in the integration of therapy and
spirituality
.
I am passionate about therapy that produces lasting, inner healing! I use a combination of several psychological theories, depending on what will best meet my client's needs, including ImTT and EMDR, to help clients experience healing and change in the places where their pain originated. This not only creates symptom reduction and/or extinction but also produces an outcome of inner peace, joy and freedom, putting an end to trying harder, pretending or "white-knuckling" through. I love this work and look forward to connecting with you in your journey toward emotional wholeness!

spirituality
, anger management, and men’s issues.
Hello! Like our physical health, I believe our mental health is just as important and requires some intention, work, and accountability in order to help maintain optimal well-being. Sometimes, we can do it on our own and other times, we could use some help – both are ok. If we’re a good fit, therapy, tailored to your unique experience and needs, can significantly help you towards maintaining and sustaining your well-being.

I combine breathwork, meditation, ACT, CBT, as well existentialism and
spirituality
.
I believe the main goal of therapy is to remove the obstacles and blockages that preclude us from being genuine. My approach is straightforward yet compassionate. As your therapist, I simply hold the mirror up and allow you to reveal the parts of yourself that have broken off over the years as a result of stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other unresolved issues. Together we mitigate the impact of maladaptive behaviors and search for answers that are more closely aligned with your goals. The answers to many of life’s problems are internal, but we have been conditioned otherwise.

Hello! Lovely to "meet" you here! I am an intuitive psychologist! I am also an author, and former co-host of a national radio show. I've been practicing psychology for 20+ years. One of my main strengths is helping you see your core issues quickly, so that you can heal right away. Contact me if you have anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or wish for spiritual growth. I really help my clients to get back in touch with their own intuition, and authentic selves (the part of us that was often rejected in childhood!) --reconnecting with this part of you can help lead you to freedom!

Hi there, Thank you for checking out my profile. First of all, I want to let you I truly admire your courage to seek therapy because I know how hard it is to ask a stranger online for help with personal issues. Also because I was once in your position, I can tell you that it was one of the most life-changing decisions I have made. I was so glad for the help I received. From my personal journey, experiences and training with therapy, my belief for my work with the clients is this; I will never take my client to places that I am not willing to go. That being said, I consider this opportunity to work with you as my honor.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
