I am a Licensed Psychologist with 35 years of experience serving the Napa community. I treat adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety (including phobias, panic attacks, and social anxiety), OCD, phase of life issues, personality problems, and relationship difficulties. I work with individuals, couples, and families, using an integration of mindfulness-based practice and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), within a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
I work with clients to promote mindful self-observation, self-acceptance/compassion, flexibility in thinking, management of strong emotions, confrontation of feared situations, and reexamination of problematic core beliefs. I also seek to help clients clarify their deepest values, and support them in taking meaningful action in those directions.
