As a sports psychologist, I have a unique practice in that I specialize in working with athletes who have the desire to take their game to the next level. Being a competitive athlete helps me relate to other competitive people in sports or business. My primary focus is on confidence building and the elimination of performance anxiety. I use a 3 tiered approach to training: Perspective Training, Mental Skills Training, and Applied Settings (if applicable at a sporting location). I am the only professional to offer that kind of travel service. We also offer

Welcome! I work with individual adults and adolescents who are feeling stuck and desiring some sort of shift in their lives. This can look like a a
life
transition (going to college, career change, etc), relationship with yourself (the way you view and treat yourself), or shifting your overall mood (anxiety, depression, trauma). I aim to be a partner in change, rather than the expert on your
life
. I help people understand why they do the things they do by exploring how their past impacts their present day functioning. I offer tools for you to use in the present moment while we are gaining awareness of your patterns.

I admire the courage it takes to embark on this journey as I too have been at points in my own
life
requiring guidance and trust outside myself.
I am the founder of Wellspring Psychological Services and supervising psychologist for this group private practice. I specialize in creating mind and body wholeness, helping to bring balance back into
life
. I have a passion for working with teens and young adults, particularly because the challenges of adolescence require a unique and strong client/therapist personality fit. Students in residency and couples in transition can take advantage of my 15 years of clinical expertise. My mission is to create a therapeutic space where each person is able to fully show up and create a more contented and peaceful
life
.

I welcome anyone who is looking to enhance and make meaning of their
life
. Unhealed wounds of abandonment, abuse, betrayal, loss and neglect lead to feelings of shame and fear, which keep you from having the relationships, resources and overall
life
experience that you want. I have expertise in identifying these core sources of pain, healing those wounds, understanding how they currently impact your
life
and, of course, changing those
life
patterns so you can experience something new!

, loss, trauma, dysfunctional relationships, compulsive behaviors can prevent us from moving on.
People find their way to therapy for various reasons. You may be in a crisis or you may want to work on long-standing behaviors that are no longer working for you. Maybe negative self-talk is getting in your way, or repeating the same behavior expecting different results and aren't sure how to make the necessary changes. Therapy is a process, finding the right therapist is important. I offer a free phone consultation to help you in your search.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
