Anxiety called. It wants to keep running the show. I told it we’re in therapy now. Let’s be honest, life can feel like trying to juggle flaming swords while riding a unicycle through a fog of self-doubt, worry, and old pain. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like your inner critic deserves a raise, you're not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it all by yourself. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that no longer serve you and work to create new ones that feel more authentic, empowered, and aligned.

I work with high-achievers who have experienced developmental trauma, abuse, and fractured attachments. Many are stuck in patterns of anxiety and over-functioning, despite doing "well in life." They think, "I 'know' I'm safe now, but I can't 'feel' it—something's wrong with me." And while understanding one's issues used to provide a sense of control, it now feels like shame and pressure to hurry up and "figure it out." This is because the mind cannot heal wounds created in the body and spirit. I invite you to slow down, breathe, and return to your truest self—the version of you who was present before survival became a way of life.

You show up for work, for the people you love, and for those who depend on you. You keep going, even when you’re emotionally exhausted, anxious, or overwhelmed. Work stress or caring for others can leave you feeling stretched thin, disconnected from yourself, and unsure how to make room for your own needs. Maybe you sit in your car after work, doomscrolling on your phone because you’re not ready to face the stress waiting for you at home. As a healthcare worker, caregiver, or someone managing your own illness, you’re used to pushing through anxiety and exhaustion without asking for help. But now, you’re ready to stop doing it alone.

The most significant predictor of a successful therapy experience is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. Building a safe, nurturing relationship is where I excel. My style is warm and highly interactive, best suited for clients who prefer a therapist who feels very "human." I assist clients to explore their thought patterns and corresponding emotional responses, and to identify unconscious assumptions they hold about themselves and the world, which inform behavior patterns. I also provide practical tools for regulating anxiety, managing depression, and processing grief.

Maybe you're carrying grief that hasn't found its shape yet. Maybe a loss, a diagnosis, or a big life transition has left you questioning who you are outside of what happened to you. Or maybe you're a caregiver, a healthcare worker, or someone holding a multiracial, LGBTQIA+, or diaspora identity who has never quite felt like you belong anywhere. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you don't have to carry it alone. I help adults process trauma, move through grief, and reconnect with their sense of identity and agency.

At times, life presents us with painful challenges, overwhelming emotions, negative thoughts, anxiety, and trauma that can interfere with our ability to function as we desire. Finding the right therapist to help transform these difficulties into strengths and opportunities for healing can feel intimidating. However, these obstacles can lead to growth, resilience, and personal empowerment with the proper support.

I specialize in cancer, grief, and 2nd gen immigrants.
Up until now, you followed the script—exercised, got the good job, took care of others–but something broke, and you’re de-constructing what matters. A new diagnosis is forcing you to grieve the future you'd hoped for. Or you're tired of keeping the peace at work because it's costing you your health. You’re feeling pressured to care for your aging immigrant parents, but it's hard to hold boundaries without feeling guilty. You want to cherish the time you have, without sacrificing your life. In therapy, I will hold a brave space to be present with all of your parts, as we bear witness to your grief and regulate your nervous system.

I have a passion for working with those wanting to overcome anxiety in their lives-especially those who are struggling with marriage, codependency/sex addiction issues, life transitions, cancer & chronic illness adjustments, parenting, postpartum adjustment, and miscarriage & infant loss.
Having quality relationships is one of the cornerstones to living a well-integrated life. When these relationships are not going well, we can feel burdened, anxious, and isolated-all the things that are opposite to how we are designed to live. As a therapist, I am here to support and coach you in taking intentional steps toward your own personal growth, while helping to strengthen the relationships you are a part of.

Cancer Therapists
How does cancer affect mental health?
A cancer diagnosis is a major life event that can significantly influence the mental health of any individual. Being diagnosed with cancer often introduces a sense of uncertainty about the future, which can cause clients to experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, and significant distress. Many cancer patients may also worry about the toll that their diagnosis may have on their family, their physical health, their job, and their financial situation. The compounding of such stressors can also decrease mental health in clients and may lead to additional symptoms that can influence mental health, such as sleeping difficulties or social withdrawal.

What is the best psychological therapy for cancer patients?
The best type of psychological therapy for cancer patients is highly dependent on the needs of the individual. The therapy type that a client benefits from may also depend on what stage of the cancer journey they are in. Recently diagnosed cancer patients, for instance, may benefit from therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can help clients develop skills to manage the emotional distress that comes with a cancer diagnosis. Alternatively, cancer patients further along in their journey may benefit from therapies like Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or other forms of mindfulness therapy to help manage symptoms or physical pain associated with treatment. Clients may also consider group therapy, which offers cancer patients an opportunity to receive support from other individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Are there any risks or drawbacks in going to therapy while dealing with cancer?
Although attending therapy while dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be helpful, one major concern for cancer patients can be the financial cost of seeking therapy. Many therapists are out-of-network, meaning they do not accept insurance, and thus clients are expected to pay the entirety of the session fee. Since many cancer patients may be out of work as a result of their diagnosis or cancer treatment regimen, the costs of therapy sessions can be substantial. Luckily, many cancer centers and local clinics may offer free or substantially reduced-cost counseling services to cancer patients and their families. In addition, cancer patients may be eligible for grants or other forms of funding from local agencies and nonprofits to seek therapy for their cancer diagnosis. Such opportunities can be very helpful for cancer patients, as they allow clients to obtain the benefits of therapy without the financial strain.

How long does cancer therapy typically last?
The length of cancer therapy depends on the needs of each client. In some cases, cancer patients may only require therapeutic support during the period following their initial diagnosis—to help manage the uncertainty and shock of a cancer diagnosis. In other cases, clients may choose to receive therapy throughout their treatment, and even following, their cancer journey. Pursuing therapy for a longer period of time can help clients develop a deeper relationship with their therapist and provide opportunity to process the challenges presented by cancer treatment, such as physical pain, and challenges associated with cancer survivorship, such as ongoing identity concerns, physical limitations, or relationship challenges.
