Is your relationship stuck in the same painful cycle? The arguments feel endless, or maybe the silence feels worse. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to find a more effective way to communicate with one another. If this sounds familiar, your relationship isn’t beyond repair. I help couples reconnect, heal past wounds, and build the kind of closeness and security you’re longing for.

Parenting can be difficult and isolating.
I believe therapy is about connection. Therapy is based on the connection with your therapist to create a meaningful, supportive space to explore your most vulnerable emotions. Therapy can help you strengthen your connection with the people in your life in a positive and hopeful way. And most of all, therapy can grow your connection to your most authentic self. Therapy can help guide and support you through times of stress, build communication and interpersonal skills, and develop a deep understanding of who you are and what you want out of life.

I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and human. My role as a therapist is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s getting in the way of living the life you want. I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps. Together, we’ll look at patterns, experiences, and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment. I aim to support you in developing insight, resilience, and practical tools that fit your real life—not just theory.

Hi, I am a Narrative Therapy, AEDP and EMDR trained psychotherapist with a speciality in attachment trauma recovery. In the face of life's challenges, it can be all too easy to define ourselves by what pains us and to gauge our self-worth by our problems. However, I work from the premise that you are not the problem, the problem is the problem. By changing our relationship to our past trauma and current problems, we can gain control of and achieve peace with our emotional selves.

What many of my clients share is a search to connect with a deeper understanding of themselves both as humans and, for some, as spiritual beings. Among them are international Angelenos and transplants, numerous creatives, healers, artists, writers and non-conventional people longing to heal, find new meaning, and re-connect with their inner wisdom and joy. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and German.

I also work directly with children and offer focused parenting consultations as well, often thinking in terms of the broader family system.
My approach is warm, engaged, and thoughtful. Some sessions focus on practical tools to help you feel more steady day to day, whether that’s managing anxiety, navigating relationships, or responding differently in difficult moments. Others slow things down and look more closely at what might be keeping you stuck. Both matter, and we make space for each.

I work from a psychoanalytic perspective with children, adolescents, and adults struggling from a variety of issues, including difficulty with intimacy and relatedness, recognizing and expressing emotional needs, feelings of loneliness or emptiness, self-destructive or self sabotaging behaviors, or repeating painful life problems with little sense of control. Since children and adolescents have not yet fully developed the capacity to talk about their emotional experience, difficulties tend to show in their behaviors, such as opposition, defiance, poor grades, or turning to drugs. In my work with adults I offer individual or couples therapy in a safe and nonjudgemental atmosphere.

Reaching out to find a therapist for your child may be an overwhelming experience. It means that your child may need some extra support, and that your efforts to find them that support are based in love and maybe some frustration. Perhaps you’ve noticed some concerning changes in your young child’s demeanor, a lack of confidence or increased temper tantrums. Maybe you've observed your teenager slipping into depression or anxiety as they merge into young adulthood. I’m here to support you and your family.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
