Realizing that you aren’t where you want to be is scary. For many of us, continuing along without changing something is likely to result in developing meaningless habits: ruminating, alcohol/substance abuse, unhealthy hookups, too much time with technology, ignoring your work/relationships, etc. Was there a point in your life where you did feel alive, connected and motivated? Or has this eluded you? I think we can agree that these last several years have affected all of us in ways that we may have never previously imagined. It's complicated. It's frustrating. It's been wins and losses. Let's sort this out together.

In addition to my therapy and coaching credentials, I am a graduate of a Yoga Alliance certified program.
I help stressed-out, overachieving women overcome impostor syndrome and dissatisfaction. What makes me come alive is seeing women realize the unlimited potential within them. When women can take care of themselves personally, their light shines through, and the best version of them shows up professionally. And that version is a badass who stands tall, knows her worth, and lights up the world. As a result of working with me, women go from just chasing the brass ring to achieving sustainable happiness in every aspect of their lives. Licensed in New York, New Jersey, California, Florida, and South Carolina.

During this uncertain and unique time in life , you may be feeling anxious, sad, angry, and confused. You might be isolated or fighting with who you're living with. Important plans have been put on hold. You can't use your usual coping tools (going to the gym, going to the office, taking classes, getting together with friends and family). And we don’t know how long it'll last! I know how difficult it is, but taking care of your mental health, so that you can be physically healthy too, is really important. You might also have long-standing issues in your life that you haven't had the time to deal with until now.

Whether you're ready to heal from past experiences that hold you back or are seeking more growth/satisfaction in your life , I’ll work with you to develop treatment goals to suit your specific needs. I also believe in an integrative approach to mental health & therefore approach therapy from a holistic perspective wherein mind & body are seen as inextricably linked. If the time has come to make some much needed changes in your life , give me a call and let's get to work. I know it's hard to choose a therapist, and even harder to make that first call, or email. However, only action can begin the process of creating the future you desire. I try to keep therapy, efficient, pragmatic, creative, and even fun when possible. Thanks for your consideration, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

There are times when it’s tough to recognize that navigating our life 's challenges, has put us into survival mode, opening the door for increased mental and physical distress in our daily lives. Oftentimes this can lead to issues within our relationships, both personally and professionally. Life has a way of exposing us to discomfort over and over, making it hard at times to determine which way is up, and what action will lead us to personal fulfillment and success.

As wonderful as life can be, reaching your goals, coping with everyday issues, handling relationships, finding purpose, and staying inspired can be challenging. At times, embracing who you are and what you believe can be difficult. Even with your best efforts life can be stressful, and things don’t always go as planned. Connecting body and mind; using creative expression to destress, heal, dig deeper, and express what you are going though when words aren't enough, may be what you need to help guide you through challenges, make healthy decisions, feel better, and enjoy life . Would you like to understand the healing of your story?

The road to total WELLNESS and SELF-DISCOVERY is not smooth, but it is easier than living a life of misery that is not even yours.
How we live every moment of our personal and/or professional lives is a matter of CHOICE. Feeling shameful, fearful, anxious, unworthy, low in mood, bitter, snappy, moody, lonely; or working towards feeling and being lively, caring, friendly, free, assertive, productive and joyous. The work is hard, but easier than being stuck in misery. Artificial constraints weighs us down, dragging us into the dark places of hopelessness, helplessness, powerlessness, victimhood, and many other negative feelings and behaviors (anger, depression, meanness, worthlessness, isolation...) blocking our way to sense of wellbeing and JOY.

Regardless of the circumstances, my ideal participant is one who has any amount of motivation and hope that things can be different in their life . I struggled for many years with a substance abuse disorder (specifically opiates among many other substances) that caused wreckage in my life on so many levels. I can empathize with the human that is using and does not know how to stop. I believe in your power, your resilience, and your spirit. I have helped people with complex mental health issues that include bipolar with psychotic features, depression, anxiety, and a range of substance use disorders & addiction.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
