Adrienne Glasser IFS Transformation Coach & Healer
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, RDMT
Are you seeking to live more authentically? Would you like to have breakthroughs on habitual patterns, gain deeper spiritual connections and heal from past wounds so you can live more joyfully? I currently run a community called The LIT Seekers, a community for experiential therapists, spirit seekers, meaning makers, healers and coaches. This community enjoys & studies Illuminated Healing (LIT) Methods: the integration of embodiment, shadow/light work (
IFS
), and working with guides. These somatic practices lead to powerful life-changing transformations for both clinicians and clients.

I use a Jungian approach, EMDR and
IFS
to help you heal the roots of the stuck places: the old unconscious patterns of mind that no longer serve you.
STUCK. You're not sure exactly why, but there's a nagging sense that something's off. You might call it an existential crisis. Maybe it feels like a depression, or being lost and anxious. Whatever it is, I see it a CROSS-ROADS: a chance to choose a different, more fulfilling life. I believe that the uncomfortable things you're feeling - worry, fear, frustration, or no motivation or excitement about life - are a signal from the wisdom of your deeper, truest self that something needs to CHANGE. Will you answer the call?

I am extensively trained in several trauma-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Brainspotting, and Internal
Family Systems
(
IFS
).
Anxious, depressed, or stuck? I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space for adults and adolescents of all religions, races, sexualities, and genders to process their life needs, wants, and fears. I provide psychotherapy within the context of a therapeutic working alliance; by first building trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship, one can then work towards tackling larger life goals. I work from a core belief that our minds and bodies are deeply connected. Treating the whole person, including the impact of stress on their physical body, is an important component to treating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and more.

I utilize tools from Psychodynamic, Relational, Internal
family systems
, somatic experience, EMDR, and creative modalities (virtual sand play, art, music).
I believe therapy is a container for self-expression where you can show up exactly as you are. As a person with lived experience of being queer, Arab, Non-binary, and Muslim, I have seen first hand how difficult it is to find someone whose values align around the importance of community and is committed to a trauma-informed framework. Growing up in a world that constantly feeds us narratives such as “healing happens alone” and “we are solely responsible for the state of our own wellbeing” can be deeply challenging and frustrating. Together, we will dismantle the notion of isolation as a symbol of strength.

My approach blends a mix of internal
family systems
/parts work, acceptance and commitment therapy, and attachment theory.
Are you experiencing grief and loss? Are you navigating health challenges, chronic illness, and/or chronic pain? Do you have parts of yourself that are difficult to share with others? Have you experienced medical or relational/attachment trauma? You've come to the right place. As a queer therapist with chronic illness, I draw from both professional and lived experiences. I believe that therapy can be a reparative experience and that the relationship between a therapist and client has the ability to foster immense change and growth.

Welcome to Accelerated Psychology. I created this practice to offer cutting edge psychotherapies and neuoscientific treatments in a warm and compassionate environment. Integrating neuroscientific and psychotherapeutic treatments is often the most effective path to psychological healing and growth, because the two approaches work synergistically to create a brain state that is most receptive to treatment. For over 25 years, I have specialized in helping those who suffer from mild or severe anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, ADHD, or post-traumatic stress, and helping survivors and witnesses of terror from around the world.

IFS
, CBT and existential to name a few.
Do you feel like you are at a crossroads and wondering "where do I go from here?" It can be daunting to explore the places that scare you but deciding to do so is often the road to liberation. I work with individuals and couples who are stuck and looking for a way forward. Relationships, both with ourselves and with others, can be complex and we often become complacent and used to "the way things are." If you are here, you probably have a sense that something needs to change. I encourage you to trust yourself and give me call. I offer a free phone consultation. I have been in private practice for more than 25 years and I am trained in many therapeutic modalities; including
IFS
(https://www.
Are you interested in decreasing anxious feelings and improving your mood? Does thinking about issues become confusing rather than helpful? I work with individuals to slow down rapid thoughts and gain a greater sense of control. Clients are able to become more in tune with themselves through their participation inside and outside of counseling sessions. This is a mindfulness approach that taps the inner strengths of each individual to promote healing and growth. In a safe affirming environment, clients learn new perspectives on whatever has troubled them and begin to heal. Clients' input and questions are always welcome.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
