In dealing with stressors, life events, challenging relationships, and traumatic experiences we develop patterns to keep ourselves safe and sane; which often also limits us. The challenge is unlearning these narratives and trusting our innate wisdom. When we feel safe, secure and accepted for who we are we can begin the process of shedding what doesn’t work for us, while exploring our untapped potential. I believe you are the master of your story; and I hope to create a safe space where we can gain insight about your inner battles, develop skills to enhance holistic development, and realize the potential of your authentic self.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Therapy is a space where we can slow down and make sense of what’s been feeling heavy or confusing. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship stress, ADHD, and trauma, using a grounded, compassionate approach that blends practical tools with deeper emotional insight. If you’re ready to feel more connected, supported, and empowered, I’d be honored to work with you.

The foundation of my practice is around getting our mind and our spirit back into our heart and our body and going from there. One of my prior clients told me, "Thank you for walking with me in the dark, and not being afraid of what we will find." Shining a light where darkness once was is a hard thing to do, but when done in a safe place and with support, my hope is that you learn that you are truly worthy of shining brightly and being seen exactly how you are (and falling in love with yourself). My question is: what stops us from doing that?

Life can be overwhelming, especially for women trying to juggle everything and keep it all together. Maybe you're stuck in a cycle of anxiety, battling negative thoughts, carrying the weight of past trauma, or just feeling like you're not measuring up. If that sounds familiar, I want you to know you're not alone and you're not without hope.

You're a high-achieving, thoughtful person who looks put together on the outside—but internally, you're exhausted from anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or low self-worth. You may struggle with disordered eating, ADHD, depression, or relationship issues. Social media may be affecting your self-esteem or connection in your relationships. You’re craving clarity, confidence, and emotional relief—not just to cope, but to truly feel better. You want to break free from old patterns, navigate life transitions with support, and finally feel more connected to yourself and others.

Let us help guide you through this journey!

I believe people look for therapy for different reasons, but what matters is that they've made the decision to find it. Sometimes they're going through a life altering event they need support for, or maybe they've just come to the realization that they need change. Other times people have received help in the past, but still find themselves struggling with recurring issues presenting themselves. In some instances people know what they need; however, also very commonly they're just not sure. Both of these things are perfectly okay. As growing individuals you can have goals, but also revisit them throughout your journey.

You’re tired of performing for yourself and others. You’re burnt out. You’re curious about who you really are. As a queer, autistic, Filipino-American therapist in California, the space we share doesn't try to change you or make you conform. We talk openly about how oppression, ableism, and culture influence our stories, and we begin writing new stories that make more sense—feel more real—to us. I like to tell clients we "experiment" with unmasking, because it can take a while to feel OK without our masks. We move at the speed of safety, which is especially important in today's sociopolitical climate.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
