You want a space where the hard stuff is safe to name and the real you gets to breathe. A place where your pain is seen, your voice matters, and you can also discover lightness, laughter, and play along the way. You’re ready to let go of shame, feel more grounded, and step into confidence. Most of all, you want to live in a way that feels connected, authentic, and unapologetically you.

I'm a seasoned trauma therapist working with PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD and perinatal mental health (preconception, pregnancy and postpartum). I'm certified in EMDR, a certified EMDR Consultant, certified in Interpersonal Therapy, certified in Perinatal Mental Health and often use my expertise to train other clinicians in these areas.

I am additionally trained in Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP) which is the gold standard of treatment for OCD and severe anxiety disorders.
It is my experience that each of us carries stories with us. Some we share outwardly while others are made less visible – especially those associated with pain, discomfort or loss. As a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I have collaborated with incredible clients over the past 13 years of my career. Many of my clients are interested in finding care to help with various issues such as adjusting to life changes, managing anxiety, coping with depression, working through feelings of grief and loss, processing trauma, exploring aspects of identity, navigating career changes among other things.

My approach to therapy involves moving towards collaborative change and using scientifically supported treatments to help clients achieve the change they want to see in their lives, whether it be emotional, behavioral, in their thinking, or in their relationships. Because our past informs our present, treatment may involve clients both exploring past experiences along with working towards in-the-moment changes to help accomplish their desired goals.

You’re thoughtful, self-aware, and exhausted from carrying so much internally. You may look high functioning on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in familiar relationship patterns. You want relief, but also clarity. You want to understand why you feel the way you do, not just manage symptoms. You’re looking to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself, so you can move through life with greater ease, intention, and self-trust.

I help high achieving, highly anxious individuals that are struggling with burnout, work and academic stress, and perfectionism. This may be due to the impact of developmental trauma, childhood overt or covert bullying, or family upbringing. If you are exhausted from having it all together constantly and feel like you are losing touch with your authentic self, therapy is a great place to start in order to shift away from patterns that are no longer working for you. I can guide you as you challenge yourself and grow in ways you thought were not possible and make it less scary by not having to do it alone.

My approach is based on my belief that we have the power to create healthy emotions & dismantle unwanted emotions. When meeting with you, I'll want to understand how your ongoing circumstances, emotions, behaviors, or thoughts impact the short term as well as the overall outcomes in your life. I base my treatment on evidenced-based inventions, eastern & wellness perspectives, and a conscious awareness approach. Compared to many other psychologists, my therapy style may be more goal oriented, assertive, and with a stronger focus on observing and measuring therapeutic progress over longer term emotional processing.

My ideal client is someone whose life’s gone a little sideways—maybe you’re feelin’ anxious, down, or just plain worn out. Whether you're a teen who'd rather be somewhere else, a grown-up carrying more than they can handle, or a Veteran with a heavy load, I’m here to help you sort through the mess. I’ve got a soft spot for folks who feel like they don’t quite fit the mold—LGBTQ+ folks, trauma survivors, or anyone who’s been told to just “tough it out.” You bring the story, I’ll bring the sweet tea and a safe place to land.

Life can be tough. Feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions can make it feel even tougher. Worries can paralyze you or keep you from the life you want. Intrusive obsessive thoughts can lead to cycles of avoidance, reassurance, and compulsive actions that try (but fail) to make things better. You can drown in the low lows of your mood, energy, and motivation. And these challenges can show up in even more unexpected ways, including hair pulling, skin picking, or body dysmorphia. These concerns emerge for children, teens, and adults alike - all of whom simply want a life without mental and emotional suffering.

Are you finding yourself repeatedly pulled into relationships that feel unclear, one-sided, or emotionally draining? You may be dealing with partners who shut down during conflict, avoid accountability, or keep things ambiguous—leaving you overthinking, waiting, or carrying more of the emotional load. Many gay men I work with are navigating open or non-traditional relationship structures and want practical tools to set clearer boundaries, disengage from unhealthy dynamics, and build relationships that feel more stable, reciprocal, and self-respecting.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
