My most common areas of practice are DBT, Trauma-focused, CBT, Mindfulness, and the use of somatic tools in order to aid in the regulation of the nervous system.
I am grateful for each client who puts their trust in me and in turn, looks at the therapeutic relationship as being at the foundation for healing. Therefore, I encourage honesty and openness from my clients. My role is to provide a safe space for clients to begin, or continue, their healing journey.

The modalities that I use often are CBT, DBT solution focus, and psychodynamic.
I love my career and treat every client as if they are my only client. I’m passionate about helping people live to see their full potential and maximize their strengths while accepting their weaknesses. I’ve seen some success stories throughout my career, and that’s what drives me to keep expanding my practice.

My approach is highly tailored to the individual and integrates psychodynamic perspectives along side evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness.
Areas of focus for my practice include eating and body-image issues, substance abuse, anxiety, mood disorders, and dual-diagnosis concerns. My journey to clinical social work started as an attorney where I saw the need for mental health services and treatment.

Therapy with me blends evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness with a deeply human approach.
Ever feel like you're keeping it together on the outside while things feel chaotic underneath? Do you wish for a space where your full self—bold, questioning, evolving—is seen and supported without judgment? You're not alone. Life gets overwhelming, especially when you're navigating identity, relationships, mental health, and systems that weren’t built with you in mind. I offer a space to unpack all of it—a place to explore, process, and grow into the most grounded version of yourself.

Advanced Training: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT), Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
believe that each of us, at one time or another, struggles with self-worth, coping with crises, interpersonal conflicts, or problematic behaviors. Depression, anxiety, and difficulty with relationships can really impair one's ability to be their best and to feel emotionally healthy and capable. When those times happen to you, it can help to have a caring therapist who understands, helps identify solutions, and doesn't judge. My style is to focus on the here and now, with practical strategies for making meaningful changes that fit you and your situation.

I'm interactive in sessions, using a holistic, relational approach with techniques from CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and narrative.
I'm glad you're reaching out for support. It can be hard to find a new therapist when you're experiencing anxiety or depression. It should be an empowering process to get help with stress, self-esteem, grief, trauma, codependency, life coaching, or marriage counseling. I am passionate about helping you live the life you want, the way you want to live.

I utilize an integrative trauma-informed approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
Do you feel consumed within the bounds of past trauma? Unable to find distance from the isolating, frightening, and repetitive patterns of thinking holding you captive? Unaddressed trauma can prevent us from reaching our highest potential, impacting our physical and mental well-being. My goal is to create a safe platform using unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental attitude toward you and your experiences so there is room to process, heal, and reclaim your life on your terms while having the opportunity to redefine what safety looks like to you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists

Who is DBT for?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?

The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?

Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?

Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
