My goal is to help you achieve your goals. Having done this work for 35 years the issues that have sadly remained consistent are the high levels of child sexual abuse and adult sexual assault, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. A significant number of people will have an assault in their lifetime, so you are not alone. My doc dissertation was on sexual trauma, resilience (surviving), & posttraumatic growth (thriving). I am dedicated to all types of trauma and see that people can not only get better but they can choose the life they wish to live, often with help of a therapist and a desire to change.

Hello, my name is Natalie. I’m glad you’re here. I genuinely love working with people to discover – or rediscover – their worth, their strength and their capacity to grow. I spent decades as a Creative Director/ Producer before answering a calling I could no longer ignore. That experience – the creativity, the human complexity, the real world – shapes everything about how I show up in the room. I believe clients hold meaningful insight into their own lives, and that therapy can help bring that awareness forward in ways that support real growth.

The actual work of therapy can be appropriately challenging for many, but starting therapy shouldn’t be so hard! If you’re new to therapy or searching for a new therapist, I’d encourage you to reach out to start the conversation and let's see if I might be a good fit for your current mental health needs.

I have extensive training & experience working with survivors of childhood trauma, abuse & molestation; adult children of substance abusers/co-dependency, depression, anxiety, victims of crime, & life-threatening illnesses ( cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes).
Clients I see are often experiencing feelings that are disrupting their lives. You may be one of the many people who has a hard time acknowledging, asking for & accepting assistance. Therapy can help with many difficulties life presents like relationship issues with partners, family & friends; death of a loved one; job loss; caring for someone ill; assault; rape; witnessing a crime, & other life events. Others come to gain insight into how to make their lives better, more productive & happier. For over 20 years I have helped people "get out of their own way" and see how they unknowingly sabotage themselves & relationships.

I work with women and teens who feel anxious, emotionally disconnected, or overwhelmed, even when life looks “fine” on the outside. Many of my clients have learned to push through, stay strong, or put others first, often without realizing how past experiences or difficult relationships are shaping their present. Using a trauma-informed approach, therapy becomes a space to gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface, reconnect with emotions and the body, and build a sense of safety and self-trust.

I offer a warm, honest partnership for anyone who is struggling emotionally. People come in feeling alone in some way: overwhelmed, unfulfilled, blocked creatively or convinced that everyone else in the world is different from them. Or, maybe you are grieving the break-up of a relationship, marriage, or the death of someone close. Feeling alone in your pain is often the worst part.

Our lives are constructed from many roles and stories. We, as human beings, are the teller of those tales. Is your narrative one, as Plato stated, flowing from "three sources: desire, emotion, and knowledge?" Is it rich in self-care, dignity, and compassion? Or, are the stories and thoughts you carry heartless, punitive, or corrosive?

The clients I see are adults of all ages whose lives are diminished by depression or anxiety, whether lingering or overwhelming. Such feelings can make it difficult to focus on tasks or even leave their home. Some clients struggle with unsupportive family members or relationship partners; others cannot shake off the impact of trauma they suffered as children or as adults. Some are young adults who are experiencing Adulthood as a loss of past freedoms; some cannot find satisfying relationships, or establish boundaries with parents or roommates. My older adults are coping with aging; but they also desire social connection and purpose.
