I saw the trauma underneath anger, drugs, and how we act out generally (in relationships & with ourselves).
I'm an interactive therapist. Most times I won't just sit there and say, "Uh huh...uh huh." I'll reflect back to you what I'm hearing you say, and we'll have a conversation about it. I'm also a dork/nerd. Some have said that can make it easy to talk. I'm also an anger management provider for the Los Angeles County court approved providers.

If you’re hoping for real relief in weeks, not years, and want to work with someone warm, collaborative, and highly trained who can walk with you step by step, I’m here to help.

Finding the right therapist is often the most difficult step in the healing journey. It requires finding a balance between someone who deeply understands the science of the mind and someone who genuinely cares about the person sitting across from them. With 13 years of clinical practice, I have dedicated my career to being that balance for my clients.

It is my mission to provide high-quality psychotherapy to my clients by assisting them in how they manage and cope with the stress and anxieties in life. The way we perceive a problem greatly affects how we deal (or don't deal) with that problem. Using proven evidence-based interventions and building on insight and self-awareness, we can move the mountains in our minds to see a clearer picture of ourselves and the world around us – improving our ability to cope, our self-esteem, and the quality of our personal life relationships.

Feeling stuck? You possess an innate capacity to heal; therapy is about uncovering the capabilities you already carry. As a trauma-focused therapist, I use EMDR, Brainspotting, and depth-oriented approaches to help you untangle painful experiences as purposeful signals for growth. Struggling with anxiety, relationship patterns, or the lingering impact of past trauma? I work with adults navigating PTSD, grief, and life-altering events who feel "stuck" in unwelcome emotions. Together, we will untangle these signals and build the clarity and confidence needed to restore your innate capacity for a meaningful life.

If you are challenged with stress, anxiety, low confidence, or conflict, you found the right therapist. If you are easily triggered, and past therapy attempts have not helped, let me be your next stop. For a unique perspective into the world of work, I'm your guy. I help people leverage their natural strengths and shift their thinking to decrease negative feelings and improve confidence. I also help desensitize triggers and build internal resources to empower you to face life's challenges. I turn the tables on difficult people, eat abusive bosses for breakfast, and go toe-to-toe with limiting thoughts. Also, this is how I talk.

If you feel distant from your usual self, or out of place in your day to day encounters, therapy with me can be a safe reintroduction to yourself. I will be an ally, a guide and sometimes a mirror. I have up close and personal experience with recovery from addiction, broken families and broken hearts. I became a therapist after many years of being a first responder. What I learned is that when people feel heard they respond because they feel safe. Being a therapist is helping with a different type of wound, but people know when some one truly cares how they are feeling.

Clients seek me out for relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, and for managing anger.
I treat codependency...a fancy word for over-focusing on others and under-focusing on you. Letting others determine your self-esteem is a dangerous thing to do. But when you're harmed as a kid, you learn that you don't matter. You come away from childhood with broken "antennae". You don't see unhealthy traits in others. Too much pain teaches you to ignore your feelings and live in your head. It's a trick that gets you through childhood, but it sabotages adult relationships. My passion is helping you use your voice to get what you want

I help clients heal stress, anger, and anxiety rooted in major areas of concern including finances, long-term relationships and marriage, parenting young children, and managing career concerns.
I work best with clients who want to enjoy life more. Anxiety, anger, and sadness can make it hard to communicate, exercise autonomy, and grow. Therapy is just having a conversation with someone you feel supported by and can give you healthy options in solving your problems.

You’ve worked hard to get where you are. But lately, it feels like something’s off. You’re stressed, overwhelmed, angry and the more you try to push those feelings down, the more they spill out in ways you don’t want. Nobody ever taught you how to deal with your emotions... just how to hide them, suppress them, or them. My job is to help change that cycle so that you can finally connect with yourself and to your loved ones. I bring a mix of curiosity, directness, and proven methods to help you understand what your feelings are actually trying to tell you and how to respond in a way that builds connection.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
