I pride myself on a
trauma
-informed practice that offers an embodied approach to healing, based upon the emerging science showing that our emotions live in the body as much as they do the mind.
I prioritize serving marginalized sexual identities and relationship styles. I know that it is hard to find mental health treatment where you can feel fully seen. As a member of the queer community, I am passionate about providing therapy that is not just inclusive, but is LGBTQ+ affirming. I also enjoy supporting family and friends of individuals who are going through coming-out or transition journeys. I work with non-traditional intimate relationships including: polyamorous families, open marriages, kinky couples, and asexual and aromantic individuals. I also offer non-stigmatizing care to sex workers of all kinds.

I specialize in
trauma
, life transitions, relationships, depression, anxiety and grief.
Therapy is a deeply personal, multifaceted journey inward in an already complex world. To those who choose to venture down this road, the process can leave one feeling emotional and vulnerable, but it will also be healing, enlightening and enriching. Taking steps down this path is a virtuous act and I am here to honor you and your process. Together we will gently explore what may be causing you pain. Healing is at the heart of my practice - what you will experience with me is empathy, non-judgmental compassion, and authenticity. My therapeutic style is warm, energetic and engaged.

A lot of my work centers around
trauma
, gender identity, sexuality, kink, and polyamory.
Sometimes there are parts of ourselves, our desires, or our pasts that are difficult to share with others. This could be because of a lack of acceptance or support in your social world, and could be related to feelings of fear, shame, or disgust. I work with clients to build a relationship in which it is safe enough for clients to bring disowned parts of themselves into compassionate awareness as they develop a sense of wholeness. Throughout this deep internal work, I ask curious questions about environmental factors in order to facilitate liberation from internalized oppression and self-blame.

I specialize in the treatment of
trauma
, depression and anxiety. I strive to create safety with each person I work with so we can explore what is going on emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually.
Trauma
and stress live in the body and, in my experience, an integrated approach is most helpful, where we pay attention to feelings, physical sensations, thoughts, behaviors and images that arise during sessions. I also utilize mindfulness, and inner child healing. We will work together moving towards your goals, so that as you feel better, you will have more freedom to become the person you want to be.

Finding a therapist can be a daunting process. Although there are many great therapists out there, it does not necessarily mean that each one is the right fit for you. With the belief that the relationship between client and therapist is central to growth and healing, my style is nurturing, client centered, collaborative, and empowering. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to support my clients in becoming more grounded and connected to their whole and authentic self.

I provide values-focused,
trauma
-informed therapy to couples, individuals, families, and adolescents seeking to improve their relationships, expand possibilities, and reassert agency over their lives. I will support you in identifying the many ways that language, environment, and culture shape your self-perception and seek to help you locate your stories within a larger context. My approach is friendly and collaborative. I integrate principles of harm reduction, mindfulness, brainspotting, and somatic experiments with a postmodern theoretical perspective, with expertise in both Narrative and Relational Gestalt theory.

trauma
, and feeling like you're just not good enough. Do the painful memories of your past keep creeping up even though you’re desperately trying to move forward? I offer online individual and couples/marriage therapy for clients in Los Angeles, San Francisco and anywhere you are in CA and FL to help you heal, strengthen and grow.

I love being a therapist because I believe healing is a human right and belongs to us all! I am
trauma
-informed, spiritually grounded and value the complexity of culture, identity and systemic injustice in how that affects individual and community mental health. I am trained in Relational Gestalt theory and integrate many other theories as there is not a cookie-cut treatment plan for anyone. Your journey is unique and I want to honor it. I am also inspired by the concept of "each one teach one." I enjoy sharing everything I've learned, delivered with warmth and humor, and then fostering your leadership to create a butterfly effect.

I am committed to LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy that is anti-racist and
trauma
-informed.
Are you feeling tired, foggy, overwhelmed? Have you tried to change but still feel stuck? Maybe it is time for something new. Therapy may help. It is not a quick fix, but I can be with you as you learn to feel and grow. Maybe you are trying to balance too much. You are not alone. Like me, many of my clients are in the LGBTQIA+ community. Some are also neurodivergent (a spectrum including autism and ADHD). Some people are navigating conflicts in families, at work, or in romantic partnerships. Whatever you are struggling with, I offer a nonjudgmental ear and a gentle approach to feedback. I also rely on my compassion and intuition.

When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
