I’m not a regular therapist. I’m a cool therapist (get the Mean Girls reference? ;) I help people who, like me, are rainbow-colored in a black and white world. Have your creativity, individuality, and freakiness been crushed under the pressure to be “normal”? I’m not here for that. I practice and preach self-love, self-acceptance, and a shame-free life.
My specialties are sexuality, couples’ therapy, and neurodiversity. I assist people on the autism spectrum, those working through sexual dysfunction, shame, and trauma, and couples looking to improve their relationships and intimacy.

You’re overwhelmed, burned out, and stuck in the same patterns — in your relationships, your emotions, or the way you talk to yourself. Maybe you’re in your early 20s, trying to build confidence, figure out who you are, or unlearn the roles you’ve always played. You’re self-aware but exhausted. You want things to feel different, even if you don’t know what that looks like yet. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the anxiety, perfectionism, or self-doubt — and help you move forward with more clarity, honesty, and self-trust.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are becoming? Many of my clients come to therapy during major life transitions—grappling with identity, relationships, trauma, or the emotional labor of caregiving and chosen family. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in theatre, learning how stories connect and heal us. Now, I bring that same collaborative, creative energy into the therapy room to help clients explore their narratives, build resilience, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Each of us walks a hard road. We meet challenges — in the world and in ourselves — and face them as well as can. We carry pain, often invisibly. We press on in spite of the doubt we feel about ourselves, our relationships, or our place in this universe.
The way I see it, none of us are meant to do all of this alone.
My approach to therapy — and to life — is curious and reflective, rooted in cultural humility and radical acceptance. I want to know who you are, and I want you to know that it’s okay to show me.

I treat codependency...a fancy word for over-focusing on others and under-focusing on you. Letting others determine your self-esteem is a dangerous thing to do. But when you're harmed as a kid, you learn that you don't matter. You come away from childhood with broken "antennae". You don't see unhealthy traits in others. Too much pain teaches you to ignore your feelings and live in your head. It's a trick that gets you through childhood, but it sabotages adult relationships. My passion is helping you use your voice to get what you want

Therapy can be "hard work," and you are worth it. You are the single most important relationship that you will have in your life. Many of my clients come to therapy after a relationship that left them questioning themselves. What once felt like love slowly turned into confusion, anxiety, or the sense that you were somehow “too much” or not enough. Some still want love; others feel repulsed by it after being hurt. Together we explore how these patterns formed and use your relationships as a mirror for deeper understanding. Our work focuses on rebuilding self-trust, strengthening boundaries, and developing the clarity needed to create healthier relationships moving forward.

My work centers around teens and young adults who often feel misunderstood, like they’re carrying more than they show, or like their mind doesn’t really slow down. Many are hard on themselves, feel stuck in patterns, or keep ending up in the same dynamics and want something to shift. Alongside individual work, I also support parents and families in better understanding each other, improving communication, and easing tension.

Starting therapy and picking a therapist can be stressful. Think about our first meeting simply as a conversation. Whether you're choosing a new career, getting in/out of a relationship, or mourning the loss of a loved one, it's often helpful to talk to an objective person outside of your family or friend group to understand what is going on and to create new, positive coping skills. In my practice, I see adults and couples. I bring my extensive education, training and experience as a social worker and contemporary psychoanalyst to our work.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
