In her free time she enjoys: playing with her
family
& daughter, dancing, hiking and geeking out with friends on Tibetan shamanic studies, meditation, IFS, movement, arts, comedy, music and regularly having dance parties in her room while folding laundry.
Are you seeking to live more authentically? Would you like to have breakthroughs on habitual patterns, gain deeper spiritual connections and heal from past wounds so you can live more joyfully? I currently run a community called The LIT Seekers, a community for experiential therapists, spirit seekers, meaning makers, healers and coaches. This community enjoys & studies Illuminated Healing (LIT) Methods: the integration of embodiment, shadow/light work (IFS), and working with guides. These somatic practices lead to powerful life-changing transformations for both clinicians and clients.

I practice deep exploration of
family
dynamics and relationship patterns, as well as the way relationships and traumatic experiences get embodied and stay with us, often causing unconscious and unwanted reactions.
If you're feeling depressed, anxious, stuck or confused about how your life and your relationships are going, then I'd like to help you start teasing things out and get a clearer picture of where you've been and where you're headed.

Yes, parenting feels hard, because it is hard. You are probably here because of your concerns for your child’s intense emotions and behaviors. It may be the tantrums that never seem to stop, or the biting and the hitting that feel too intense. It may be the rising anxiety and worries that your child is struggling with. Perhaps you feel depleted and lost from sifting through strategy after strategy while struggling to balance
family
life, relationships, work, and day-to-day chores. Has it been challenging for you to simply enjoy your child because you feel consumed by guilt, frustration, and worry as a parent? You are not alone.

My practice is intuitive and client specific. Clients come to me with a wide arrange of intentions and desires; processing trauma, managing stress and anxiety, overcoming depression, wishing to grow spiritually/personally, identify areas in which they are stuck, diagnoses,
family
and relational troubles, or support in dealing with every day life. I strive to offer a safe, attuned, and empathetic space. I appreciate collaborating with my clients in a way that works for them. The most rewarding part of being a therapist is seeing my clients grow, discover, and know themselves deeper. I am honored to be a witness and facilitator.

You’re reflective, self-aware, and may be perceived as the “golden child,” within your
family
. On the inside, you carry the weight of feeling responsible for the emotions of others and struggle to trust yourself. You struggle with people-pleasing and fears of not being “good enough,” making it difficult to keep boundaries in your life and show up authentically in relationships, leading you to feel burnt out and depressed. You don’t have to continue feeling stuck in this space. You have the opportunity to develop self-compassion and set boundaries, allowing you to engage meaningfully with yourself, others, and your passions.

My role as a therapist is to act as a co-facilitator with my clients in order to help them to gain an understanding and expand awareness of their unique and dynamic personalities; their
family
history and role in it; their strengths and liabilities; patterns in thinking, feeling, and relating.
I help people who are dealing with: Job stress; heavy feelings surrounding break-ups; artists who have lost their spark and want to find it again-who are navigating between commercial pressures and the ability to have their true voices heard. Intimacy issues, trauma, and love & sex addiction issues as well as other addictive issues are a specialty. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space for you to unpack difficult feelings and to help facilitate emotional healing.

I integrate cognitive behavioral,
family
systems and psychodynamic treatments that are personalized to each client and their needs.
Life is about feeling connected, sharing in the joys and sorrows, and striving for something better, a better you. Therapy is a place where you can share and explore the challenges and achievements that make each of us an individual. I believe that forming a safe, non-judgmental relationship is fundamental to therapy and what guides the healing process. We work together in order to gain insight and learn healthy coping skills in managing challenges faced and the feelings associated with them. I believe that the most difficult job is working on ourselves but it is also the most rewarding.

Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed, discouraged, angry or confused. Managing these feelings can be isolating and lonely. Through Narrative Therapy, I invite my clients to engage in an active, collaborative process. Together, we seek to author life stories of hope and resilience. I believe that each of us possesses inner strengths, and that a therapeutic partnership can help tap into those resources. My goal is to nurture a relationship in which clients feel respected and supported. I work with adults 20+ in individual, couple, and
family
sessions. It would be a privilege to accompany you on your journey of reclaiming possibility.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, utilizing concepts from the following treatment modalities: Narrative, Solution-Focused, Existential Psychology and
Family
Systems as well as drawing ideas from Interpersonal Neurobiology.
I believe in working collaboratively with clients and building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty, and openness. I see my role as a curious, caring human being first and a clinician second. I encourage feedback and work diligently to tailor treatment to meet a client's needs, ranging from achieving short term specific goals, symptom reduction, and crisis management to long term growth work focusing on personal development, relationship patterns, and wellness maintenance.

Each member of the adoption triad - adoptee, birth mother, adoptive parent, may experience a different set of challenges that affect our relationships within the
family
, and with the outside world.
Are you looking for a safe space to share your feelings; to better understand your emotional self? If you are experiencing relationship problems, feel stuck or blocked, anxious or depressed, we can work together to understand these issues. Sometimes we know that things don't feel right, but can't put our finger on it. Through guided exploration, we can discover underlying causes for these feelings, and develop a more authentic connection with ourselves and with others. I work with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
