My career as a Marriage & Family Therapist since 2002 has brought a welcome variety of clients, each with a unique situation and opportunity for healing. Being a woman in her 50's has lent itself to a life full of understanding for the universal experience of being in and thriving in today's world. As a licensed marriage and family therapist who has more than 20 years experience, I strive to help my clients face their struggles, develop a strong sense of self and create healthy relationships in their families and marriages. I teach my patients how to heal and become happy individuals because their pain is no longer running their lives due to their cognitive behavioral therapy. I can teach you to overcome depression and anxiety, struggles in marriage, family conflicts, grief and loss, divorce, eating disorders, PTSD, being a victim of abuse and any other struggles you may have.

Lisa Douglas is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from JFK University in 2012. During her studies, she specialized in a holistic approach and expressive art therapies. She is licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. With a multidisciplinary style, Lisa utilizes evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Expressive Art Therapy.

Hello! Life can throw you a curve ball now and then. I have been working in the counseling field for over 17 years as a counselor first and in recent years, a therapist. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, marriage matters, troubled adolescents, major life transitions, trauma and more. I have worked with all ages: from 3 year-olds to the young 80 year-olds. I work with individuals, couples, families and conduct group counseling sessions.
