I specialize in: creative & artistic coaching, relationship issues, psychedelic-assisted therapy, multicultural issues,
spirituality
, men's issues, LGBTQ-affirming therapy, life coaching, stress, anxiety, and personal growth using psychotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy.
People that usually work with me are typically feeling stuck, and at times are questioning their path. I have worked with many stressors for most of my career, in the capacity as an individual therapist, couples and family therapist, group facilitator, educator, coach, and consultant. Although I can work with most, I am a great match for those that identify as creative, cultured, empathic and sensitive. My therapeutic style is eclectic and pull from various modalities to provide support where needed. I am interactive and ask that my clients also work outside the therapy container. I provide legal psychedelic therapy part-time.

spirituality
and meaning in the context of their concerns.
I am a certified Jungian analyst and licensed clinical psychologist . I offer an individualized approach to my client's needs to attain the personal growth goals they are seeking. Common reasons people choose to work with me are: individual Jungian analysis, issues of personal growth, changes related to stage-of-life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, blocked creativity and enhanced self-understanding. We work together in an atmosphere of confidentiality and trust. Jungian analysis (depth analysis) is a form of face-to-face psychotherapy which addresses long-standing patterns, feelings, and negative perceptions.

One of my favorite song lyrics says, "I'm just a spirit trying to be human." There’s so much weight that lives inside those words: emotions, questions, uncertainty. For those of us who wander, question who we are, or wonder what our purpose is, we can stumble if life hasn’t met our expectations. The majority of my clients identify as misfits, empaths, spiritual beings, and highly sensitive people who have survived childhood trauma, harsh life transitions, and an occasional identity crisis.

Identity issues can cause intense feelings of isolation preventing so many people from living the way that they yearn to. This is especially true when there are layers of addiction, difficult relational patterns and past traumas. We become so much stronger when we face these things with an unconditionally present ally.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
