I utilize IFS, ACT, ERP, psychodynamic and narrative therapy in my work as an individual therapist.
Do intrusive or distressing thoughts feel impossible to let go of? Do you find yourself engaging in behaviors to ease anxiety, quiet your thoughts, or prevent "bad things" from happening? Maybe perfectionism, people-pleasing, or anxious/avoidant attachment keeps you feeling stuck and makes it difficult to live the life you want. You may be exploring your sexuality or gender identity while navigating family relationships, acceptance, and the challenges of living in a heteronormative society. Or perhaps you and your partner want to strengthen communication, rebuild connection, or adjust to a new stage in your relationship.

I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, ERP, and Trauma-Focused approaches, and tailor them to each child.
I work with children and teens who feel things deeply, may be anxious, overwhelmed, or struggling to put words to what's going on inside. They're often bright and sensitive, but big emotions get in the way of friendships, school, and home life. If you're on the outside of your child's inner world, sensing that something isn't right but unsure what they need, you're in the right place. I'm here to help your child feel understood, build real coping tools, and find their way back to themselves. I also work closely with families throughout the process, because the most meaningful change happens both inside and outside the therapy room.

We help kids, teens, and young adults who struggle with anxiety gain the confidence they need to put themselves out there and build healthy relationships. Our clients struggle just like you and your kids do. Despite being bright, academically high achieving, and able to seemingly balance it all, life is still hard. When they first come in, they are in a relentless cycle of never feeling “good enough” and are stuck comparing themselves to everyone else. They may start their day with reserved hope as they head to school, and come home a total wreck. You are doing your best, but you don’t always know the right thing to say.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
