Connection is at the heart of the work—but with older children, teens, and adults, that connection may look a little different. I meet each person where they are and use approaches that fit their age, interests, and goals. Whatever you or your child are navigating, we’ll face it together. We might work on building practical tools for managing big emotions, strengthening relationships, improving focus and organization, or processing experiences that feel overwhelming. For some, that may include creative expression, movement, or experiential work; for others, it may look more like conversation, skill-building, and reflection.

I work with mothers and driven professionals navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm.
I believe in this work because I’ve lived it. Too many of us spend our lives quietly outrunning our pain—and it almost works. But there is a version of you with more spaciousness, connection, and vitality. Accessing it doesn’t require becoming someone new—only turning toward what’s already there.

There are often understandable reasons why feelings of depression, anxiety, and low self-worth develop.
Often, much of the suffering a person experiences comes from difficulties in relationships; with others and with oneself. With compassion and understanding, I can help you explore what gets in the way of having satisfying relationships. As part of that process, we can look at ways to communicate more effectively. I have special interest and experience in working with people from different cultural backgrounds, of mixed cultural backgrounds, or in cross-cultural relationships. I have worked with many clients who are adult children of alcoholics, and understand the challenges of such an upbringing. I work with individual adults and couples.

I can help with communication, trust, conflict, anxiety, self-esteem, life changes, and family stress.
Most of my clients come in feeling like they've tried everything. Couples who love each other but keep hurting each other. Teens who are struggling to find their footing. Individuals who want to understand themselves better before or after a relationship. When you seek support you are reaffirming bravery and strength in yourself that already exists. My job is to help you slow down, figure out what's really going on underneath the surface, and walk away with real tools that work in everyday life, not just in the therapy room. I provide space to learn, process, and practice new ways of living for a better and happier future.

Do you wonder if it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or neurodivergence?
In addition to therapy, I provide neuroaffirming ADHD and Autism (ASD) assessments for adults. A comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment with a formal diagnosis can help with treatment planning or accommodations at school or work. Getting an informed clinical opinion about your own sense of neurodiversity can be helpful even if you don't need supports.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
