My work as a therapist for the past 24 years has been focused on helping people uncover what is most authentic, naturally resourceful and vividly alive in each person. The stresses and traumas of living one's life can deaden our connection with ourselves and with those we love. Emotional suffering, isolation, addiction and crisis can be powerful gateways to a deeper foundation of self-acceptance, compassion and inner freedom. Learning to utilize proven tools for recognizing and transmuting pain into the ever deepening and changing experience of your life and relationships are the foundation of our work together.

Most of us are not born knowing how to navigate relationships, understand and manage our emotions or process our traumas. Many things throughout our life influence us and how we react and behave in different situations, however that doesn’t mean we can’t grow and develop as individuals. My goal is to help clients become confident in who they are through discovering their own self-worth and practicing self-compassion. We can work together to create a space where you can find the tools and support you are looking for during this period of your life.

I work to help each individual find the beauty and grace in life. My hope is to help you find your true self through a variety of therapeutic techniques. I believe each human is unique and comes to therapy hoping to develop their potential and grow through the process. Through acceptance and mindfulness each individual can then approach life with curiosity and wonder. To heal the wounds of trauma I am trained in Somatic Experiencing and utilize this approach to channel one's innate system for growth and change.

My work includes harm reduction approaches to substance use, kink/BDSM-affirming care, ethical non-monogamy.
I work with adults navigating burnout, pressure, and patterns in relationships that don’t seem to change. Many are queer men, trans folx, first-gen professionals, adult students, or high-functioning individuals balancing productivity with disconnection, loneliness, or dissatisfaction. I also work with individuals and couples across identities, including those exploring poly relationships or ethical non-monogamy. Clients often come to me feeling stuck in intimacy, sex, or emotional patterns, and ready to understand themselves more deeply and move forward with intention.

Sometimes you don't really know what you have until you almost lose it. You might've told yourself that what your partner doesn't know won't hurt them. The truth is, everyone gets caught eventually and secrets can be painful. If you are struggling with the pain that you've caused yourself and someone else through infidelity, sexual addiction, or substance abuse it is not too late to get help. Most people don't recognize that they are struggling with addiction until they try to quit.

I specialize in substance use, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and I love working with women who are navigating some of the hardest seasons of their lives.
My approach depends on you and what you need. Sometimes therapy means tools, structure, and clear goals. Other times, it means slowing down, being heard, and having space to breathe. I’ll help you explore patterns, rebuild self-trust, and find freedom from what’s been weighing you down. Growth may feel uncomfortable at times, but you won’t be doing it alone.

I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating the impact of trauma, struggling with substance use, and dealing with anxiety, depression, or emotional numbness.
Are You Asking Yourself... Why do I keep repeating the same patterns in relationships? Why can’t I feel joy, even when life looks "fine" on the outside? How do I cope without turning to substances or old habits? Will I ever feel like myself again after what I’ve been through? If these questions resonate with you, you’re not alone—and therapy can help. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected from yourself or others—there’s a path forward. I offer a compassionate, grounded, and trauma-informed space where we can explore the roots of what you're experiencing—and begin to transform your life.

Substance Use Therapists
How do substance and drug recovery or rehabilitation programs work?
In inpatient programs, individuals live in a facility with other clients in recovery; in outpatient programs, individuals reside at home. These facilities are staffed with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, counselors, and psychotherapists. Staff often also includes people who have recovered themselves, serving as mentors and guides. These programs may use abstinence, harm reduction, detoxification, psychotherapy, and other methods.

How do 12-step programs combined with psychotherapy work?
Members of 12-step programs help each other reach abstinence and work to maintain it. These programs promote complete change in the individual’s emotional, mental, physical, and even spiritual perspectives. Some programs require that new members attend 90 meetings in 90 days. Many people do attend these programs in conjunction with their work in psychotherapy; the combination of therapy along with 12-step can be extremely effective.

How does harm reduction combined with psychotherapy work?
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, harm reduction prevents death, injury, disease, overdose, and substance misuse. People who choose harm reduction for substance use reduce the amount of drugs they consume. It is not abstinence-based like a 12-step program, but combining harm reduction with psychotherapy proves to be effective for many people.

Are there specific medications for substance and drug use?
There are medications approved to treat substance use disorder—such as buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone, and acamprosate. These medications do help people cope with substance use as well as avoid the problem of relapse. Naltrexone can help reduce cravings, methadone is an opioid medication used to treat severe pain, and acamprosate may help ease symptoms like poor sleep and anxious feelings.
