Most of us are not born knowing how to navigate relationships, understand and manage our emotions or process our traumas. Many things throughout our life influence us and how we react and behave in different situations, however that doesn’t mean we can’t grow and develop as individuals. My goal is to help clients become confident in who they are through discovering their own self-worth and practicing self-compassion. We can work together to create a space where you can find the tools and support you are looking for during this period of your life.

You don’t have to carry it all alone. Maybe you’re a mom who’s tried everything — self-help, friends, routines — and still feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood. Modern parenting feels heavy right now, and many moms feel the world is moving too fast, making calm and confidence hard to find. I’m also a parent navigating the teen years, and I understand how hard this work can be — I’ve learned much of it the hard way and am still learning alongside you. I believe investing in your emotional wellbeing is one of the most meaningful things you can do for yourself and for your family.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and affirming of LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, perinatal, and polyamorous experiences.
You’re the one everyone depends on. The helper, the fixer, the person who keeps things moving even when you’re running on empty. From the outside, you seem capable, but underneath the constant doing, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what you need anymore. Maybe you’ve spent so much time caring for others that you’ve lost touch with yourself. You long for rest without guilt, relationships where you can show up authentically, and space to exist without constantly performing. Therapy can help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been waiting for attention.

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety related to infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting transitions.
You’re the one who keeps the house running, remembers the schedules, and manages everyone’s emotions. From the outside, you have it all together. But internally, you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and feel like your nervous system never turns off. You love your family deeply, but the "invisible load" of parenting, work, and life has left you running on empty. You want to stop reacting in ways you regret and start feeling like yourself again. You’re looking for more than "self-care" tips; you want to understand why you feel so stuck in survival mode and how to finally find a sense of true internal calm.

While I specialize in couples therapy, I also have worked in spirituality, grief and loss, religious trauma and spiritual abuse, narcissistic abuse and recovery, and perinatal mental health.
I help couples who have spent years aching beside each other — loving each other, hurting each other, missing each other — find their way back to softness, truth, safety, and the kind of connection where neither person has to disappear to be loved. You may be standing at a crossroads where you or your partner are quietly asking: “Can this relationship still become emotionally safe enough for me to stay in it long term without losing myself?” If you have deep attachment, shared history, and genuine love, but also accumulated hurt, betrayal, disconnection, resentment, and conflict, please call. There is a path forward.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
