I work to help each individual find the beauty and grace in life. My hope is to help you find your true self through a variety of therapeutic techniques. I believe each human is unique and comes to therapy hoping to develop their potential and grow through the process. Through acceptance and mindfulness each individual can then approach life with curiosity and wonder. To heal the wounds of trauma I am trained in Somatic Experiencing and utilize this approach to channel one's innate system for growth and change.

Therapy is a daunting exercise, and it takes patience and commitment, as well as trust, in order for things in life to get better. It also takes being able to talk freely with another to make the most rapid progress, as a feeling of being understood is necessary to succeed. All of these I can provide as we explore your desires and make solid plans for things to be different than they are now.

We all carry unique burdens of the mind, pains of our history, and cultural programming. It is true that we all experience suffering in one form or another as a natural part of life. It is also true that this suffering can be transformed and transcended. Through this transformation it is possible to experience a more connected relationship with the world within and around us. I am open to serve those experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and spiritual confusion. I am also open to serving those interested in cultivating meditation and other spiritual practices, and generally enhancing quality of life.

My focus as a therapist is always on providing a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment for my client to be seen, heard, and understood. I truly believe that self-knowledge and self-awareness are the most powerful gifts we can give ourselves. My practice intersects traditional clinical training as a licensed psychotherapist with mindfulness-based interventions and a mind-body-spirit-centered approach.

I use Trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and Strength-based therapy.
I became a therapist to help communities, families, and children adapt to life's challenges and heal from traumatic experiences. My education and life lessons have shaped my approach to supporting clients on their healing journeys. My approach to helping is trauma-informed, client-specific, evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and solution-oriented. It's important to recognize how your actions influence your thoughts and emotions. Understanding how going through a traumatic experience can affect how one relates to others is imperative to move from victim to survivor to an advocate for your healing.

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) evidence-based modalities that help you gain insight, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional well-being.
You may feel emotionally exhausted from constant conflict, betrayal, disconnection, or carrying the weight of depression alone. My practice supports individuals and couples who are struggling to navigate infidelity, trust issues, communication breakdowns, emotional overwhelm, and relationship pain that feels impossible to move through without support. I work with clients who often appear strong on the outside while internally battling anxiety, sadness, overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional burnout. Many of my clients are trying to rebuild trust after betrayal, strengthen emotional connection within their relationships.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
