I am glad you found me. I fuse Zen and Mindfullness techniques with core childhood work to create a unique, powerful healing approach. I understand what it is like to be saddened, anxious, or confused by life's experiences. We can't change our pasts, but we can change our beliefs and feelings about what our pasts meant. I use a unique approach of “explore, process, heal, challenge, reframe,” to work closely with my patients to help them develop awareness and create new possibilities, to redefine their history. I can help you move out of pain, depression, or anxiety, and create a new healthier and happier life. It's powerful

My work as a therapist for the past 24 years has been focused on helping people uncover what is most authentic, naturally resourceful and vividly alive in each person. The stresses and traumas of living one's life can deaden our connection with ourselves and with those we love. Emotional suffering, isolation, addiction and crisis can be powerful gateways to a deeper foundation of self-acceptance, compassion and inner freedom. Learning to utilize proven tools for recognizing and transmuting pain into the ever deepening and changing experience of your life and relationships are the foundation of our work together.

You have questions about yourself that seem more pressing after watching a video in which you heard the speaker share your own experiences navigating your sexuality or gender expression through their words. The realizations about who you are and what you want have brought levels of self-doubt about how to show up in your current relationships; platonic, coworker, familial or romantic. How do you now identify, how do you express that identity? You continue to struggle with the need to love/accept yourself exactly as you are and with what the social consequences may be should you choose to express that part of yourself openly.

Most of us are not born knowing how to navigate relationships, understand and manage our emotions or process our traumas. Many things throughout our life influence us and how we react and behave in different situations, however that doesn’t mean we can’t grow and develop as individuals. My goal is to help clients become confident in who they are through discovering their own self-worth and practicing self-compassion. We can work together to create a space where you can find the tools and support you are looking for during this period of your life.

My passion is people. I have worked with individuals, couples and families for over 25 years. I learned early on that whether you are having trouble getting out of bed in the morning or feel like you'll never have the love in your life that you want, feeling heard, understood, and accepted is what opens the door to your new life. So my goal is not to change you into someone that you're not. My goal is for you to understand, accept and love yourself for who you truly are. That is where your power lives.

As a dedicated child and adolescent therapist, I believe that healing and self-discovery happen through experience, not just conversation. In my practice, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where young minds can explore their emotions and thoughts through various expressive modalities. Utilizing techniques such as drawing, role play, pantomime, storytelling, play therapy, movements, dance, poetry, and music, I help children and adolescents engage with their inner world in a way that feels natural and supportive.

Pregnancy and the related milestones are so celebrated around you that it’s hard for you to talk to anyone about the emotional pain you are in. Maybe past experiences have made this season terrifying. You felt excitement at those first kicks, but now you worry when they change. You researched and planned endlessly yet fear follows you most of the day. If you’ve delivered, when your baby arrived, you expected joy but felt guilt as anxiety crept in. Fits of rage took over. Sleepless nights and constant demands left you overwhelmed, even jealous of others’ rest. Some moments you feel connected to your child, but mostly you feel lost.

We use EMDR, somatic therapy, and attachment-based approaches to process what lingers, whether from one event or years of stress.
If you’re reading this, you’re likely someone who appears competent and reliable, but privately runs on anxiety, pressure, or numbness. You may feel stuck in a “loop” that looks like intrusive replay, rumination, overanalyzing, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or being pulled back into trauma-bonded dynamics despite insight. You want real relief and self-trust. I provide it through a structured EMDR intensive that builds stabilization first, then targets the root memory networks driving the loop, with integration to help healing consolidate quickly.

You’ve tried therapy before. You can explain why you feel the way you do. You understand your patterns. You’ve talked it through—again and again—yet something still isn’t shifting. That doesn’t mean therapy “didn’t work for you.” It often means the approach didn’t go deep enough into how your nervous system holds stress, trauma, and emotional pain. I work with people who feel stuck despite insight, effort, and self-awareness. Many clients say things like: “I know what’s wrong, but I still feel this way.” “I understand it intellectually, but my body doesn’t catch up.” “Talking helps in the moment, but nothing really changes.”

We know from experience how hard it can be to put the pieces back together after trauma. It can feel difficult to find our way after feeling lost for so long. Whether it's something overwhelming and fast, or too little for too long, these past events can continue to affect our present life, keeping us stuck in patterns of pain and disconnection. We become burdened by negative beliefs and often long for a more balanced viewpoint. Unresolved trauma can leave lasting marks on our wellbeing. Fortunately, there is a path to healing and wholeness.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
