My work focuses on developing Self awareness - mind, body, spirit and the Parts that we are made of - through exploration, guidance, practice, metaphor and humor. Often, despite seeking answers to our experience and purpose through workshops or teachers, education, or psychedelic experiences, in our search for wellbeing we find ourselves with more questions, are overwhelmed, anxious or depressed. Taking time to reflect on unfinished business compels us to integrate our experience, our longing to sit comfortably in the Now, feeling content in a life in progress, at home with Self and equipped to navigate life's ups and downs.
Sometimes people just need a place to talk, without judgement, without having to suppress their emotions and thoughts. Other times people need specific suggestions about their predicament. Either way, I'll help you be the person you really want to be. Ultimately, feeling lighter, more alive, less worried, more grateful is basically what therapy is for. My hope is provide you a place to feel more positive about life and relationships, and sometimes make the hard choices that will get you there.
Have you been told "You're just too sensitive."? You may be one of the 20% of us that is considered a Highly Sensitive Person. The traits of a Highly Sensitive Person include but are not limited to feeling emotion very deeply, picking up the feelings of others, needing time alone to decompress, having physical sensitivities to various stimuli, heightened empathy to the point where you can experience feelings of something that is not actually happening to you, intolerance for intense/violent media or entertainment, and difficulty with boundaries. These traits can contribute or lead to anxiety and depression.
The treatment I offer is holistic. I work with body, mind and spirit to bring about wholeness and harmony with your self and life. I allow a deeper wisdom to guide me to the work that most fits your specific needs. It is my intention to work at the source of the problem, facilitating true transformation.

I would be honored to help you in self-discovery and change. It takes a lot of courage to travel down that path. I often can intuit the key issues underlying a person’s suffering, which are often relational-both within ourselves and with others. To be kind and yet direct, and to really see you-both as you are now and how you want to become more whole. Finding clarity, compassion, and new ways to effectively deal with problems are essential in therapy. I will help you find where you are stuck and ways to get unstuck, by changing how you process both your thoughts and feelings. I work with both adults and couples.
Lets face it, if you're reading this you are struggling. Maybe you or your kiddo are feeling depressed, anxious, or confused about a current life situation. You used to do things that nurtured you, but you've forgotten how. Life can be hard and sometimes you need extra support. Good for you for being brave and reaching out! I am here to help.
Clear communication, taking risks and responsibility for one's actions and feelings, allow natural, self-healing resources to emerge from within us.
Clients are encouraged to face fear and pain, live in the present moment, and not retreat into the past; thus, finding strength, courage and trust, leading to wholeness. A belief in a POWER, greater than our smaller selves, connects us to our healthier and truer SELF. This is a key factor in the healing process. We have experienced this greater SELF, often in times of great trial and/or great joy. It works!
The best project you will ever work on is YOU (or your relationships). There is HOPE and everyone has a story. I am here to hear yours, your families, relationships or child's. Life can be difficult yet we need not live in a caravan of despair. We can learn to accept life's challenges with awareness, an open heart and connection to others. Mostly we did not learn how to live while also staying connected to our hearts. We learned closure, codependency, to do for others and not oneself. We learned how to fight, contract, blame, shame, feel guilty. If you are ready to take a journey into the heart, mind and body of your defensive patterning that leaves you unhappy, alone and in despair - I am here, to go with you into the delicate world of the body and subconscious mind, to free you once and for all.

These are challenging, even scary, times for many due to COVID 19. People can feel at a loss about how and where to find support. Many people experience an increase in anxiety, depression and PTSD symptoms due to isolation during the 'stay at home" requirements. If you are struggling, please know there are resources that can help even if you are not able to go out into your community or to a therapist's office. I am offering phone and video chat sessions via Zoom and Skype. A recent episode on NPR.org titled, "How to Get Therapy When You Can't Leave the House" might be of interest and helpful.
