Did you stay together after infidelity, betrayal, an emotional affair, hidden contact, or sexual betrayal — but never really heal? On the outside, life may look like it moved on. Inside the relationship, the same questions, triggers, resentment, sexual distance, shutdown, defensiveness, or mistrust keep returning. One partner may feel, “How long will I keep paying for this?” while the other feels, “How can I trust you when the truth, impact, or accountability still feels unfinished?” You may both be exhausted from trying, arguing, avoiding, or pretending things are better than they are, while the marriage still feels fragile.

Licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping women with anxiety, self-doubt, and relationship challenges, including emotional abuse and narcissistic dynamics.
You’re exhausted. You work hard to keep the people in your life happy, but you can’t help but feel unfulfilled, overwhelmed and unappreciated yourself. So, you try harder and give more, but it doesn’t feel like you’ll ever be enough. You keep up the façade that everything’s okay, but beneath the surface, you feel stuck in a prison of chronic guilt, worry and self-criticism. The constant swallowing of your own truth for others’ approval has left you empty. And the truth is, its lonely in there where no one sees the real you.

Reaching out for help isn’t always easy. It can feel overwhelming to know where to start. Maybe you feel stuck in old patterns of thinking and behaving, frustrated that you can’t seem to break free. Perhaps conversations with your partner keep ending in conflict, leaving you discouraged and disconnected. You might even feel like everyone else has life figured out while you’re still searching for your place and purpose. These experiences can be painful, isolating, and frightening. I will help you bring clarity and peace to your life and your relationships.

Many times people feel they don't have anyone who truly understands them or anyone to show them the compassion they need. I am passionate about providing both understanding and compassion to all of my clients. I really want to hear your own story, understand the dynamics of your specific relationships and help you reach your personal goals and dreams. I've loved and cherished my family relationships, both while growing up, and now with my wife and children. I strive to provide a safe environment to share highs and lows and hopes and fears with clients as they too pursue those cherished relationships.

I believe human beings are capable of incredible change! If you desire positive change in your life and are willing to work for it then it is absolutely possible, especially with my help. I believe encouragement goes a long way, but being that I am also direct and take an interactive approach to therapy with my clients, I will provide you with more than a listening ear and the ever cliché "uh huh". I will give you useful insight and feedback regarding what seems to be keeping you "stuck" and preventing you from growing and becoming more of the person you want to be.

I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complex impacts of narcissistic abuse, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma.
The Unconscious mind is a part of the mind that triggers a collection of thoughts which inhibit our mind without us being aware of them. Although these processes exist beneath the surface of conscious awareness, they are thought to exert an effect on conscious thought processes and behavior. The unconscious phenomena include repressed feelings and desires, memories, automatic skills, subliminal perceptions, and automatic reactions. As humans, we are wired to repeat deeply learned patterns that, at a certain point, no longer serve us. Whether it’s in your work life, personal relationships, or your relationship to yourself.

You've tried talking it out. You've read the books. Maybe you've even done couples therapy before — the kind where you take turns sharing feelings and leave wondering if anything actually changed. You're still stuck. The same fights keep happening. The distance keeps growing. You're starting to wonder if this is just how it's going to be, or if it's time to call it. You don't need someone to validate you. You need someone to help you see what's actually going on — and what you can do about it. That's what I do. I work with couples who are ready to stop going in circles and start making real progress.

Childhood trauma can cripple us, it creates overpowering ‘intense’ emotions such as anxiety, depression, and anger when left unattended which begins to create physical symptoms to defend our bodies from the internal wounds. Has there ever been a time in your life where you have experienced this reaction? Are you experiencing these feelings based on current or past trauma from childhood, early teens, adolescence, adulthood, or as a senior? I aim to utilize a variety of actionable techniques to help reduce trauma related symptoms and make lasting changes in life.

The first step in any journey takes the courage to start. And you already have! You're here. I know there is still a lot of shame around being vulnerable and asking for help. We live in a world that often demands perfection, high expectations, and pushing ourselves to the max. Struggling with depression, anger, or trauma does not make you a failure. It makes you human. I believe we all have the innate ability to heal ourselves, and therapy can support you in finding that clarity and empowerment.

Since 2016, I offer both traditional and modern therapeutic modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, NLP, BSP, and LENS. These are all different therapeutic or mind-body approaches work for healing purposes: EMDR & BSP trauma therapies to help the brain “reprocess” stuck or maladaptively in memory. BSP accesses the subcortical brain to release stored trauma. NLP communication & self-change strategies; change limiting beliefs and behaviors by altering how experiences are coded in the brain. LENS neurofeedback resets dysregulated brainwave patterns, improving nervous system balance without requiring active participation from the client.

It has taken me a number of years to fully realize the fundamental role human connections play in our lives. When we are, for whatever reason, unable to form emotionally intimate relationships we are uneasy and anxious. How people relate to others is, of course, mostly formed in the relationship patterns we experienced as a child. We spend years learning how to behave in certain ways, and it can take some time and effort to learn new ways to interact with others. For lasting change we must experience new ways of interacting with others. If you want to improve your relationship contact me. Thanks.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
